Bambietta Basterbine (Banbietta Basutābain) is a Quincy as well as one of the Stern Ritters of Yhwach's army, the Vandenreich. She has the epithet "The Explode". By virtue of her position and actions, she is a major antagonist of the Millennial Blood War, being one of the central antagonists of the first battle.

Appearance
Physically, Bambietta has a very youthful appearance, looking like a girl to someone who appears to have barely left adolescence, with ages ranging from 16 to 21. Her relatively impulsive attitude corroborates this hypothesis. She is dressed in the standard Stern Ritter uniform, consisting of a white military kepi with the Vandenreich emblem in the center, a button-down jacket, a mini-skirt held up by a belt with a heart buckle, the symbol of the 5-girl group, and knee-high boots. The dominant color is, of course, white. She also wears a white hooded cape over her shoulders. Her hair is long and black.
PersonalityBambietta is a particularly sadistic girl, taking great pleasure in hurting or killing other people, especially Shinigamis. A perfect example of this psychopathic aspect of her personality is when she invites an ordinary soldier to her quarters on the pretext of coitus, only to kill him without the slightest remorse. In combat, she seems to enjoy herself as if it were all a game, and she particularly mocks her enemies and even her fellow girls. She is, however, capable of quick anger, especially when provoked.

Medallion: This is a kind of medal that every Stern Ritter carries. These items enable you to steal a Bankai from a Shinigami and use it again.
- Bankai: Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō (黒縄天譴明王, Divine Chastisement of the Black Strings of the King of Lights): The Bankai that Bambietta stole from Komamura.
Bambietta is a very powerful character among the Stern Ritters, capable of beating Sajin Komamura in their first meeting with disconcerting ease. Her main strength lies in her ability, The Explode, which enables her to explode anything she touches with her spiritual particles..
Reiatsu and physical prowessBambietta is a fighter of a level equivalent to, if not higher than, that of a Captain of the 13 Divisions. She had no trouble exchanging sword blows with Sajin Komamura, who is twice her size. Bambietta has also established herself as the leader of a group that includes 4 other Stern Ritters: Liltotto, Meninas, Candice and Giselle. The latter, though powerful fighters, don't dare cross her or contradict her leadership, which is an admission of her power.
Quincy capabilitiesBecause of her position, Bambietta has mastered the basic techniques of the Quincys. By absorbing spiritual particles, she becomes able to move through the air or levitate, among other things.
Spiritual Weapons
Using her Quincy abilities, Bambietta can create weapons from the surrounding Reishi. Her favorite weapon takes the form of a small, broad sword, resembling a Chinese dao, with a two-pointed blade, reminiscent of the Zulfikar. With this sword, she can cut through Shinigamis effortlessly and rival Komamura.
Shadows
Like all Vandenreich soldiers, Bambietta can use shadows to create interdimensional portals to travel between the Schatten Bereich and the Seireitei, or allow soldiers to pass through the portal to assist her.
Font
The Explode (爆撃 (ジ・エクスプロード), Ji Ekusupurōdo; English for "The Explode", Japanese for "The Bombardment"): Bambietta is capable of projecting spiritual particles that have the characteristic of exploding on impact. However, these spiritual particles don't explode on their own, they just cause whatever they touch to explode, making it impossible to counteract. Because of the destructive potential of this technique, Bambietta can easily level the environment around her, and rarely needs to aim at her opponent to hit her. What's more, she can release particles all around her, resulting in considerable destructive potential.
Quincy: Complete
On activation, a large Reishi tower is released with a Quincy cross at the top. She develops a Heiligenschein in the shape of a 5-pointed cross above her head and broad wings. According to Giselle Gewelle, she becomes so powerful in this form that she could end the war in an instant.
- Flight: Thanks to her wings, Bambietta can fly without using the float.
- Increased resistance: Bambietta's resistance has increased with her Vollständig. When Komamura sends her flying into a building with her Bankai, she cushions the fall with a bomb and escapes with only a few scratches and burns, which do not prevent her from continuing to fight.
- The Explode upgrade: Reishi balls form on the tips of her wings. Their power, range and speed have been increased. A single explosion was enough to seriously wound and knock out Shinji Hirako.

Part One (2023)
As soon as he learns that Quilge is facing Ichigo at Hueco Mundo, Yhwach summons the Stern Ritters to gather at the Sun Gate and prepare to invade the Soul Society. Bambietta stands just behind Haschwalth, one rank ahead of Äs Nödt and Bazz-B. When the Seireitei invasion begins, Bambietta appears in the 7th Division guard area. She enjoys slicing up Shinigami soldiers until she is stopped by Komamura. Komamura quickly notices that he has to use his Bankai to fight her, despite Sasakibe's warning that his Bankai has been sealed. Then, against all odds, Bambietta unveils a medallion that absorbs Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō. Komamura's Bankai has just been stolen, much to the latter's surprise.
Later, when Yamamoto becomes enraged and his Reiatsu is felt throughout the Seireitei, Komamura, who seemed defeated, rises galvanized and orders his men to rise in turn. Bambietta is completely stunned by the turnaround, convinced that she had almost killed them all. A few minutes later, when Yhwach returns to the Schatten Bereich, Bambietta and the other Stern Ritters also withdraw and leave the Seireitei.
After the events of the invasion, Bambietta and the other Stern Ritters are summoned to Silbern Cathedral. They all witness Yhwach's speech naming Uryū Ishida as her successor. After the announcement, she decides to invite a soldier to her private quarters. Seduced, the man doesn't have time to savor the moment, as she slices him in two. At this point, Candice, Liltotto, Meninas and Giselle enter in turn, reprimanding her for killing yet another handsome boy. Warning her that Bazz-B is causing a disturbance in the common quarters, they decide to join the other Stern Ritters and witness the altercation between Bazz-B and Haschwalth, as well as Askin Nakk Le Vaar's intervention. Later, Bambietta attends a meeting of the Stern Ritters led by Haschwalth. Haschwalth tells them of his intention to steal the hopes of the Shinigami, particularly the Captains whose Bankai has been stolen. Declaring that she will kill Komamura and anyone who gets in her way, Bambietta agrees wholeheartedly.
During the second invasion of the Vandenreich, which replenishes the Seireitei through the Schatten Bereich, Bambietta is accompanied by Liltotto, Giselle, Candice and Meninas and finds that the Bankai she stole from Komamura is no longer in her locket. But she doesn't seem to mind - on the contrary. Then she realizes that her girlfriends have given her the slip, and Bambietta starts to lose her temper, causing a large area to explode. After that, Komamura arrives, equipped with a new helmet, ready to avenge Yamamoto. Bambietta laments that he's arrived too early for that, declaring that heroes make their entrance when they're expected. Shinji arrives in turn, declaring that they are not heroes, and releases his Shikai, Sakanade. Stern Ritter "E" quickly suffers the effects of the inverted world and is unable to take advantage despite the explosive damage she causes.
But a stream of energy bursts from Bambietta's body. A red column of spiritual power springs up from the ground and surrounds the Stern Ritter. Hirako, surprised, asks her what it is. Bambietta explains that it's Quincy: Vollständig and that she couldn't use it because of her Bankai.
She then attacks Shinji with an explosion.
As Shinji is injured by the explosion, Bambietta explains that if everything around her reverses, she must simply make everything around her explode. Revealing her epithet, Bambietta sets off several new explosions around her. Bambietta is surprised to see Komamura still standing, and Momo Hinamori tries to attack her from behind. Bambietta tries to find out who she belongs to, but an enraged Hinamori simply tries to attack her. Komamura stops Hinamori from attacking and saves her from the explosions created by Quincy, but Bambietta declares that Komamura can't defend her even if he has a bucket on his head. As Komamura remarks that there's something strange about the explosion, Bambietta explains how her explosions work as she unleashes a new barrage of explosions. Bambietta declares that she wants to see what's underneath Komamura's armor and is surprised to discover that Komamura now has a human appearance. Bambietta then watches as the captain releases his Bankai.
Bambietta is shocked by the Bankai's appearance and tries to attack him, but is even more surprised when the Bankai heals itself. Komamura explains Dangai Jōe and asserts that Bambietta cannot defeat it. Incredulous, Bambietta tries again to attack him and fails. In response to Komamura's explanation of the Bankai's life, she asserts that she already knew this when she brandished her Bankai. She goes on to assert that although the Bankai does not fear destruction, its bearer must. Bambietta creates an explosion on Komamura's chest. However, she is horrified to see that her explosion has had no effect and that Komamura has a hole where his heart is supposed to be. Komamura explains the humanization technique, claiming that he's immortal as long as he's human. This infuriates Bambietta, and she argues that there's no point in fighting or winning if you're already dead. Komamura refutes this and declares that he is simply putting his life on the line. Bambietta is then attacked by Komamura's Bankai.
Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō Dangai Jōe hits Bambietta with such power that it forces her explosions back into her body and severely injures her, dropping her charred body into the debris of buildings some distance away. She lies on the rubble, defeated and wounded, wondering how she could have lost to a Shinigami, lamenting the fact that of the five of them, she was beaten first. She declares that this cannot be forgiven. Bambietta looks up and notices that she is surrounded by fellow Sternritter Giselle Gewelle, Liltotto Lamperd, Meninas McAllon and Candice Catnipp. They look at her with concern, while Giselle tells her they'll help her, as they'd be sad if she wasn't with them. Bambietta becomes frantic and begs Giselle to stop and not "do it". Shortly afterwards, Giselle kills Bambietta.
