Summary of the Series:

Luffy, a young boy, dreams of becoming the King of the Pirates by finding the One Piece, the ultimate treasure assembled by Gol D. Roger, the only pirate to ever hold the title of Pirate King. Shanks, a pirate who is hosted by the villagers of Luffy's village, is Luffy’s role model, especially after Shanks saved his life. One day, Luffy eats one of the Devil Fruits held by Shanks' crew, which makes him a rubber man, able to stretch his body at will. Before departing, Shanks gives Luffy his Straw Hat, telling him to return it only once he has become a proud pirate.

Years later, Luffy leaves his village to form a crew and find the One Piece. His adventure begins as he is rescued by Kobby after being trapped in a barrel. They meet Roronoa Zoro, a bounty hunter detained by the Marines. Zoro eventually joins Luffy’s crew after Luffy helps him retrieve his swords from the Marine base. Zoro becomes the first member of the Straw Hat Pirates.

The Straw Hat Crew now includes Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbei, with the Thousand Sunny as their current ship.

The Straw Hats are a pirate crew from East Blue, with members from various regions. They are led by Monkey D. Luffy, the main protagonist of One Piece. Originally sailing on the Going Merry, they now navigate the seas aboard the Thousand Sunny, following the events of the Water Seven arc.
