The Susanô, also known as the Tempestuous God of Valour, is the third power of the Mangekyô Sharingan and the most powerful of the three. Only those who have awakened this pupil in both eyes can use it. It allows the creation of a gigantic humanoid spectral monster that serves both as a shield and a striking force.
Sasuke's Susanô first manifested during his battle against the Fourth Raikage. He initially summoned its ribcage to protect himself from an attack by A. This can be combined with Amaterasu to form a suit of black flames.
Sasuke eventually awakened a true Susanô to block a combined attack from Gaara, Kankurô, Temari, and Darui. The Susanô was dark in color and resembled a skeleton. In the manga, Sasuke's Susanô has a different final form compared to Itachi's.
After obtaining the Eternal Mangekyô Sharingan, Sasuke developed a new Susanô. It is brighter, stronger, and features a sword covered in black flames, a light purple shield, and an Amaterasu orb.
