⛩ Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer from the Demon Slayer Corps, holding the Kanoe rank. He seeks a cure to turn his sister, Nezuko Kamado, back into a human and to track and kill demons to protect others from the same fate as him.
Before becoming a demon slayer, his entire family was slaughtered by the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji, while his younger sister, Nezuko, was turned into a demon. He made it his mission to find a way to restore his sister's humanity and to exterminate demons.
Tanjiro is a user of the Water Breathing and Sun Breathing techniques, also called the Original Breathing.
