Appearance of Antares

Antares appears as a mature, imposing, and athletic man with long red hair, a short beard of the same color, glowing red eyes, and dark claws. His distinctive attire includes a red and silver high-collared armor and a brownish-red coat.

Personality of Antares

As the Monarch of Destruction, Antares takes great pleasure in the devastation caused by his formidable powers. Filled with great confidence and rarely unsettled, he also shows deep contempt for humanity, not hesitating to commit genocide to provoke the Shadow Monarch.

However, this ruthless figure has a notable sense of honor, even willing to negotiate with those who demonstrate exemplary strength, as shown by his pact with Jinwoo. Despite being repeatedly killed by Jinwoo across multiple timelines, Antares acknowledges his power and expresses disappointment in the weakness of his successor, Suho.

Despite his ruthless traits, Antares shows kindness towards his servants and firmly rejects any cruel or experimental exploitation. He also upholds the idea of blood purity, despising dragons of mixed lineage.

History and Background

Once allied with the other Monarchs in a cataclysmic war led by the Absolute Being, Antares ordered the elimination of Ashborn out of fear, triggering a major offensive and the partial defeat of his forces. After Ashborn's disappearance, the Monarchs were forced into exile while the Rulers gained ground.

Centuries later, during the resumption of the war, Antares remained isolated, unable to find a powerful enough human host to fully manifest his powers, unlike his counterparts.

Final Battle Arc

After Jinwoo eliminated several Monarchs, Antares launched a devastating invasion of Canada, massacring millions but failing to lure Jinwoo into battle. Ultimately, he faced Jinwoo in Japan, unleashing stratagems and brute strength but had to acknowledge his opponent's cunning and tactical prowess.

The battle swung heavily in Jinwoo’s favor, who exploited Antares’ anger and arrogance to weaken him before the Rulers fatally pierced Antares, sealing his fate.

Epilogue

Surviving thanks to the Reincarnation Cup, Antares retained his original memories. As the last Monarch, he participated in the final face-off against Jinwoo, where he was defeated without much difficulty but sealed a pact to prepare Suho, Jinwoo’s son, as his successor.
