Baek Yoonho - Solo Leveling

Baek Yoonho is a Korean S-rank hunter, an expert in transformation magic, and leader of the White Tiger Guild.

Appearance

Baek is a muscular young man with spiky orange hair, orange eyes, prominent canines, and neatly trimmed sideburns. He typically wears a black tuxedo. During the Jeju Island raid, he wore black armor with yellow shoulder pads, gray pants, and golden claws. When he uses his powers, his eyes turn yellow, his hair turns white, and his pupils become slits.

Personality

Baek is ambitious and serious, caring greatly for his guild's welfare. He left his original guild to found his own and revealed some weaknesses when facing Hwang Dongsoo, who strangled one of his members. He also sought to understand why only three of his guildmates survived the Red Gate incident. Curious and keen, he was the first to recognize that Jinwoo had no limits.

History

Baek first joined the Demon's Guild as a hunter before leaving with several members to establish the White Tiger Guild. His guild accepted a mission from the Korean Hunter Association to handle the Double Dungeon incident.

Yoo Jinho's Raid Team Arc

In the novel, Baek reprimanded Ahn Sangmin for failing to purchase a dungeon meant for novice training. Confident in Ahn's recruitment skills, Baek hoped a talented new hunter would join. Unbeknownst to him, Ahn's target was Sung Jinwoo.

Red Gate Arc

Baek received an urgent request from the Association about a Red Gate dungeon, as his A-rank hunter Kim Chul was leading the White Tiger raid group's training when the dungeon mutated.

Abilities

As an S-rank hunter, Baek is among Korea's top hunters. However, despite this rank, his strength is actually on the lower end for S-rank, as noted by Hanekawa—he is likely one of the world's weakest S-ranks.

• Enhanced Strength: Baek boasts outstanding physical strength, able to fight Ma Dongwook on equal footing without fully transforming and handle Kumamoto with ease. His transformation boosts power, making it easy for him to defeat Dongwook in a duel.
• Enhanced Speed: Baek moves rapidly, evident in his reactions to Kumamoto's attacks and his ability to keep up for short periods.
• Enhanced Durability: He demonstrates high endurance, remaining conscious and mobile even after severe injuries, notably when strangled by the Ant King.
• Transformation: Baek can transform into a humanoid white tiger monster, gaining white fur, hair, sharp claws, and pronounced fangs—which greatly increases his strength and speed. He can partially transform, as seen in his fight with Kumamoto when only his hands and hair changed.
• Beast Eyes: Baek can enter an "Illumination State" to precisely gauge the strength of monsters or hunters, while boosting his reflexes. (Chapter 65 WB)
