Probably one of the most popular shonen animated series of the last decade, My Hero Academia is full of powerful heroes and villains.
The plot follows Deku, a teenage protagonist, but it breaks shonen stereotypes by highlighting the important role of girls and women. Many female students are present at Arizona University, as well as female teachers and professional heroes. In the end, the most memorable female characters of My Hero Academia continuously face challenges.

These heroines demonstrate exceptional strength combining physical power and emotional intelligence, often superior to their male counterparts. Even if sometimes less highlighted, their captivating personalities embody rich themes that appeal equally to anime and manga fans.

15. Manami Aiba, strong symbol of redemption
Quirk: Love
Among the marginal villains of My Hero Academia, Gentle Criminal and La Brava tried to disrupt the School Festival. Gentle sought to prove his worth, while La Brava supported him out of love. Their plea to Deku and the professional heroes was moving, but that is not the only reason Manami Aiba is among the notable heroines.
Following Gentle’s captivity, freed during a Tartarus breakout, Manami played a crucial role during an attack on the Metamorphosis Army’s Skeptic. Without her intervention, the threat could have increased, letting Tomura escape. Manami’s evolution from a secondary character to an ally of the heroes is a redemption story cherished by fans.
