10. Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint: an isekai with an innovative concept
Having captivated a large international audience, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint has become a phenomenon to the point that a renowned studio decided to adapt this web novel into an animated series. Aniplex, known for distributing and producing series such as Black Butler, Durarara!, and Soul Eater, will handle this adaptation, scheduled for release in 2025.
In this fascinating story, Kim Dokja merges with his favorite novel and tries to fix past mistakes to save a world threatened by a tragic fate. While the theme of isekai is not new, this work stands out with its unique angle: the protagonist already knows the end of the story, acting as an omniscient reader. He meets his favorite characters and chooses to ally with them, actively influencing their destiny to protect them from looming dangers.
9. Terror Man: the man with ambiguous powers
Terror Man tells the story of Jungwoo Min, a man with the ability to perceive disasters that will strike others. This gift can be used for noble or nefarious purposes, and Jungwoo mainly chooses to use it to spread terror, becoming a terrorist. This moral duality makes the reading complex, with some readers disturbed by the darkness of the hero, while others are captivated by the emotional depth and harshness of the story. The manhwa is written by Han Dong-Woo and illustrated by Ko Jin-Ho.
The animated adaptation of Terror Man is directed by Studio Bazooka, notably known for the Sinbi Apartment franchise. Studio Dr. Movie is also collaborating on the project, with previous experience including The Rising of the Shield Hero and American animated series such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Castlevania: Nocturne. Expectations are high for the quality of this upcoming adaptation.

8. The Boxer: a sports manhwa filled with emotion
The sports manhwa genre is experiencing growing success, just like sports anime. It is therefore logical that one of the best current sports manhwas, The Boxer, is getting an animated series adaptation. This story features intense boxing matches as well as a deep quest for identity, self-acceptance, and understanding the human condition. The plot doesn't shy away from sensitive topics, including some harsh scenes of bullying that may shock certain viewers. The anime promises to convey all the emotional richness of the webtoon.
Scheduled for the second half of 2025, the animated adaptation of The Boxer will most likely be available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Production will be overseen by Studio XTorm. The first season of this series, broadcast in 2023, was a huge success and a new season is expected soon. Produced by ARVO Animation, also known for the romance series We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, it includes 12 episodes available on Crunchyroll.
A Returner's Magic Should Be Special follows a young wizard, one of the last survivors of a magical race, who goes back in time to prevent the destruction of his world. 4. Tomb Raider King: the return of a determined hero
The author of Tomb Raider King recently confirmed that this highly popular manhwa will be adapted into an anime in 2026. This announcement, shared on X, specified that studio EEK, known for The World After the Fall and The Tyrant's Protector is an Evil Witch, will oversee production.
Many believe that Tomb Raider King could rival Solo Leveling because of its growing popularity and similar narrative style. The story follows Joohoen-Seo, betrayed by his superiors, who decides to go back fifteen years to correct his mistakes and become the legendary Tomb Raider King. Dungeon exploration, a key element of the plot, strongly recalls the vibe of Solo Leveling, captivating fans of the genre.

3. Seasons of Blossom: gentleness and realism in a touching manhwa
Some discovered Seasons of Blossom thanks to its live-action adaptation released in 2022. While the latter was well received, the animated adaptation, produced by Studio Xtorm (also behind The Boxer), is generating even more excitement, especially as it promises to faithfully recreate the webtoon’s artistic quality.
This delicate work addresses themes of adolescent love, friendship, and the challenges of school life. It also tackles sensitive topics such as bullying, mental health, and bereavement, which may not suit all viewers. Ranked among the best series on Naver Webtoon, Seasons of Blossom has received near-perfect ratings, and its anime release was originally planned for 2024 before being postponed.
2. True Beauty: a popular story with multiple adaptations
True Beauty is another example of a manhwa that achieved remarkable success thanks to a live-action adaptation, followed by an animated series released at the end of 2024. The first anime season is available for streaming on Apple TV, while the original webtoon long dominated the best story rankings.
This story follows a young woman who transforms her appearance through makeup, thus exploring themes related to self-esteem and beauty standards. While the story may seem light, it actually deals with deeper social issues, such as the impact of the cosmetics industry and gender standards on younger generations. The love triangle and emotional drama at the center of the anime appeal to a wide audience.
