Who is Christopher Reed in Solo Leveling?

Appearance

Chris was a young, tall, and muscular man, with wavy brown hair shaved on the sides, blue eyes, and a sparse beard. When he used his powers or was angry, his eyes glowed light blue.

At his first appearance, he wore a light gray long-sleeved shirt, blue pants, and sandals. On his ID photo, he sported a pale gray jacket over a teal shirt.

Personality

Chris showed some arrogance and pride because of his powers, as demonstrated by his anger when he learned an opponent strong enough to kill him exists. Yet, his ego did not make him reckless, as seen in his serious reflection on Norma's warning about his imminent death. A loner, he lived in isolation and did not hesitate to fight, attacking the three Monarchs who came for him, aware of the deadly risk.

History

Japanese Crisis Arc

Soon after the appearance of an S-Rank Gate in Maryland, Chris was visited by Norma, who foretold his impending death through a vision. Initially skeptical, Chris eventually took the warning seriously and accepted a paper with Go Gunhee’s number to contact Jinwoo if needed.

Guilds International Conference Arc

A few days after Norma’s visit, Chris woke up in the middle of the night in an eerie silence, unaware that he was trapped in a dimensional ditch. When he challenged his enemies, Tarnak appeared, followed by Rakan and Querehsha. Although he didn’t know them, he understood they came to kill him.

Heeding Norma’s warning, he threw himself into a desperate fight against the three Monarchs, hoping to take down at least one. Unfortunately, he was the only one to die in that battle. His mutilated body was found in the ruins of his mansion, shocking those who discovered his remains.

Ragnarök

Decades later, in a revised timeline, Chris regained his powers and status among the most powerful hunters. However, as the Sovereign’s vessel in the original timeline, he was targeted and possessed by the Itarims. This forced Thomas André to confront and kill him, although his death remained secret for a long time before being revealed.

Abilities

Inspired by a Sovereign and a national-level hunter, Chris was among the most powerful hunters. Unfortunately, his full abilities were never revealed, as he perished in an invisible fight against three Monarchs.

Sovereign’s Authority: Chris could control and move objects through telekinesis.

Spirit Body Manifestation: Chris could transform into a one-eyed humanoid monster with fiery light orange hair. The flames he produced were so powerful that it took fourteen S-Rank hunters to extinguish them.
