Who Is Innocent Zero in Mashle?

Innocent Zero, whose real name is Cyril Marcus, is the main antagonist of the Divine Visionary exam arcs as well as the Eclipse arc.

He plays this central role throughout the series. He is a formidable dark wizard, head of the criminal organization bearing his name, an ambitious individual dedicated to world conquest and obtaining absolute power. He is one of the three apprentices of Adam Jobs and is also the father of the famous Demonic Quintuplets as well as Mash Burnedead.

Appearance

Innocent Zero has the ability to change his appearance at will through unknown means. By default, he appears as a faceless humanoid but can regain his former appearance, as seen during his fight against Wahlberg Baigan.

Human Form

In human form, he appears as a handsome young man with long silver hair, red eyes, and two markings resembling clock hands under his left eye.

Demonic Form

His demonic form retains a human silhouette but with purple skin, developed musculature, elongated ears, black eyes with white pupils, long horns, five eyes on his chest, and large black feathered wings.

Perfected Form

In this ultimate form, Innocent Zero takes on a white appearance, almost featureless except for his black eyes and mouth. He is accompanied by four pierced wings and a gear-shaped halo floating above his head.

Personality

Innocent Zero is defined by profound narcissism and marked selfishness, convinced that everything exists to serve him. His ultimate goal is to absorb Mash Burnedead to become the "Perfect Human Being." Despite his arrogance, his dry humor echoes that of Mash.

Intoxicated by his immense power, he considers himself invincible, despising those he deems useless. Yet, when cornered, his confidence gives way to bitterness and devastating rage.

Paradoxically, despite his ruthless acts, he sometimes shows human traits, accepting after his defeat to repair the damage caused, albeit out of mere indifference.

History

Youth

In his past, he was a disciple of Adam Jobs, alongside Wahlberg Baigan and Meliadoul Amy, and was affiliated with the Lang dormitory.

Lupus Magia Arc

Upon returning from the Easton Magic Academy, Cell War receives the order from Innocent Zero to capture Mash Burnedead, considered his personal possession.

Divine Visionaries Selection Arc

Innocent Zero personally intervenes to capture Mash Burnedead, attacking the academy with his minions. He engages in a fierce duel with Wahlberg Baigan, demonstrating the full power of his time control.

Equipment

IZ Wand

His main wand, resembling a clock hand, allows him to perform his unique magic called Timez. It was destroyed during his final confrontation with Mash.

Wand of Beginnings

He also wields the Wand of Beginnings, a powerful magical weapon capable of summoning devastating black spheres.

Magic and Powers

Timez is Innocent Zero's exclusive magic, allowing him to manipulate time in multiple ways:

• Time Stop: Allows himself and his targets to move freely despite time being frozen.
• Time Rewind: Reverses past events.
• Rapid Aging: Instantly ages any creature touched by several centuries.

Signature Spells

• Timez Unmove: Suspends time around him.
• Timez Rewound: Accelerates the temporal degradation of a target.
• Timez Arrow Rain: Summons sharp clock hands to attack.
• Timez Snakes: Creates giant magical temporal snakes.

Besides his main magic, he can steal the powers of other users, notably Adam Jobs' Dark magic and Wahlberg Baigan's Space magic.
