Personality
Like most elves, Serie shows few emotions and can appear distant. Nevertheless, she demonstrates great fairness in judging others and possesses a keen intuition for detecting their potential. Pragmatic in her analysis, she quickly identifies dangers while remaining open to her disciples’ desires.
Thanks to her rank and mastery, she has trained many apprentices over the centuries. Serie adopts an ambivalent attitude toward her human disciples, notably because of their limited lifespan. She states that it is better not to take any, noting that she chose Flamme as an apprentice on a whim. Yet, despite the centuries, she has not forgotten her pupils’ favorite magics or their characters. For example, although she considers Flamme’s favorite spell useless, she conducts the third stage of the first-class mage exam amid a field of flowers created by that very spell.
Like many elves, Serie struggles to recognize and express her emotions. She admitted being disappointed that most of her apprentices never reached her level nor left their mark in history, but she never regrets having had them as students.
Serie admires those with powerful ambitions. She sees magic primarily as a tool for killing and firmly rejects the idea, upheld by Frieren, that the greatest pleasure of magic lies in its pursuit. Flamme thus labels her a warmonger. Nevertheless, she enjoys meeting and fighting strong opponents, fascinated by those who master various types of magic and possess a wide array of spells.

Appearance
Serie is an elf with golden hair and eyes. Older than Frieren, she retains large pointed ears and a youthful appearance. Her hair is loose except for four strands tied at the base, and her bangs framing her face are tied at the bottom. She wears a loose white top adorned with a green brooch and white shorts. When going out, she dons a long red cape decorated with golden fasteners and hanging green jewels. The cape collar is lined with white fur. She is often barefoot and wears two bracelets or bandages on her ankles.
In the past, Serie was depicted in a light toga-like dress, similar to Flamme’s, without arm or hair decorations, but with two bracelets on the ankles and a multi-pendant necklace.
During her fight against Macht, Serie wears ribbon-adorned shoes and socks and a loose jacket while retaining the rest of her Continental Magic Association outfit.
Abilities
Thanks to her exceptional knowledge and skills, Serie is considered the mage closest to the omnipotent and omniscient Goddess.
Living grimoire: Serie masters almost all known human spells, including ancient magics lost since the Mythic Era, and claims to own nearly every grimoire ever written. This earns her the nickname of “living grimoire.”
Immense mana output: The mana controlled by Serie rivals Frieren’s unleashed mana. She deliberately limits her output, the true scale of which remains unknown, but it is undoubtedly far greater than she reveals, giving her the largest mana reserves ever observed in a mage.
Mana concealment: Serie excels at reducing and hiding her mana output. Even mages capable of detecting Frieren’s mana instability, like Lernen, cannot perceive hers. Only Fern, a human mage, has so far shown the ability to detect instability in Serie. She can also fully suppress her mana output, becoming invisible to enemies even with the most refined detection. She thus infiltrated the Golden City of Weise undetected by Macht of the Golden Earth, an achievement even Frieren could not have managed.
Superhuman instinct: Frieren has noted the constant accuracy of Serie’s instinct. During the third exam, she was able to determine solely by intuition which candidates deserved to pass. She can even, to some extent, guess what participants think and feel upon meeting them.
Spells
Barrier magic: Serie can create very powerful magical barriers. More than a week before the first stage of the first-class mage exam, she erected a vast barrier around the forest area where the test took place, completely preventing the passage of water and even the smallest dust particles. Genau, the examiner, as well as most mages present, declared it indestructible. Yet Frieren managed to break it after almost a day of analysis.
Spell transfer spell: Fürwehrer: This spell allows Serie to transmit the spells she masters to other mages. It creates a grimoire containing her knowledge, which, once read, allows the learner to instantly acquire the spell, even if they could not normally learn it. This transfer causes Serie to forget the spell after transmission, although she can relearn it.

Curse inversion spell: Mistilziela: An ancient magic that reflects all magic considered a “curse” back to its source. Learning it takes a century, and casting it requires an enormous amount of mana.
Spatial magic: During the fight against Macht, Serie dodged a sword strike by magically warping the point of impact, preventing the blade from touching her.
Defensive magic: Like most modern mages, Serie uses protective hexagonal barriers capable of defending specific zones or shielding the caster. She demonstrated this during her confrontation with Macht, blocking his Zoltraak attack.
