In the revised chronological version, he shows a more mature face, a slimmer silhouette, and the beginning of facial hair, while keeping his original hairstyle. Despite being close to his forties, Jinho shows few signs of aging, with only a few subtle wrinkles around the mouth and face.

Personality

Jinho stands out for his comedic and clumsy nature, often a source of lightheartedness in the series. Behind this naive facade hides unwavering loyalty and strong ambition: he dreams of becoming a guild master at the head of the Yoojin guild and succeeding his father in leading their family business. His relationship with Jinwoo is marked by brotherly respect, even to the point of wanting to leave his family to support Jinwoo in creating a new guild.

Two recurring comedic traits define him: his taste for luxurious but impractical armor, and his inability to handle alcohol, often revealed during outings with Jinwoo or his cousin, Soohyun.

History

Dungeon & Lizards Arc

Jinho joins Hwang Dongsuk's attack team for a rank C dungeon, although he was not initially part of it, to complete the ten hunters team. There, he meets Sung Jinwoo, a rank E hunter, whom he promises to protect.Yoo Jinho - Solo Leveling Wiki

Before entering the dungeon, he tries to make contact with Jinwoo, aware of his inexperience but impressed by him. The team quickly faces insectoid magical creatures, and Jinho is alerted by Dongsuk’s suspicious behavior.

The exploration proceeds through an underground labyrinth, reaching a room filled with mana crystals, an invaluable treasure. Jinho questions the ambiguous terms of the contract shared with his team, revealing a trap.

Dongsuk promises an honest sharing of crystals after defeating the arachnid boss Buryura, a monster sleeping in the cave. However, after sealing the exit, Dongsuk betrays Jinho and Jinwoo, triggering a fight with the awakened boss.

Jinho protects Jinwoo despite doubting his skills, surprised by Jinwoo’s exceptional power, whom he first considers a dangerous impostor. Ultimately, Jinwoo defeats the boss, confirming his status as the "Fake Ranger." Jinho then assists him during the battle, providing support and hydration.

When Dongsuk returns, he tries to bribe Jinho to eliminate Jinwoo, but Jinho firmly refuses, standing against the corrupt hunters. Jinwoo’s power intimidates Jinho who witnesses the massacre of their opponents, then vomits from emotional shock.

Sensing the dungeon collapsing, Jinwoo orders Jinho to flee with him.

Dungeon and Prisoners Arc

After this episode, Jinho gives all the crystals to Jinwoo and keeps silent about the events, letting others believe the hunters’ deaths were due to the fight. He uses his contacts at the Association to set up a meeting with Jinwoo, aiming to integrate him into his group despite their mutual mistrust.

Despite an initial refusal and a tense relationship, Jinho insists and proposes many raids to convince Jinwoo. Their collaboration aims to found a guild, financed by Jinho’s father’s company, Yoojin Construction, with a building valued at 3 billion won for the headquarters.

To complete the necessary team, Jinho hires inexperienced hunters willing to meet the quotas to access rank C dungeons, applying Hwang Dongsoo’s recruitment strategy.

At their next meeting, Jinho presents his team, made up of hunters fired but limited by injuries or bad habits, to meet quotas during raids. This method guarantees the recruits a comfortable pay for their mere presence, under penalty of heavy fines for breaking confidentiality.

During a raid, Jinho wears heavy and ostentatious Italian armor, advised to be lightened by Jinwoo. Together, they progress through dungeons, collecting crystals and resources. Later, Jinho plans raids adapted to Jinwoo’s schedule.
