Limule Tempest (Rimuru Tenpesuto) formerly known as Satoru Mikami is the main hero of Me When I Reincarnate as Slime.

Apparence

Slime

Initially, Limulus is a blue slime; but upon becoming a demonic slime, his body becomes silver with streaks of gold. As a slime, having an androgynous body, all of his body replicas allow him to take on an androgynous form of the monsters he devoured, while also retaining huge resemblances to the individual creatures, as he was mistaken for Shizue by Yuuki and compared to her by the kids at Magic Academy. His mass has also increased over time, allowing him to adapt to larger forms of mimicry without using extra magic to compensate for the extra mass. Towards the beginning of the story, he only has enough mass to appear as a human child, but every time he consumes a powerful enemy compared to his current strength, his size in human form shows a noticeable increase.

In this form, Limule has silver-blue hair and golden eyes. He has no visible sexual characteristics; however, he is often mistaken for a girl due to the fact that the original form belonged to Shizue Izawa. But when he wears the anti-magic mask he kept as a souvenir of Shizu, his speech can also make him look like a prepubescent boy to others.

Unlike the other lines, his hair is the same color as his body in his slime form. This could be related to the fact that Shizu has been "optimizing" his body for spirit possession by Ifrit for several decades.

Since his slime body is equal in mass to his human form, Limule fills this body with solid form instead of black mist. Without the black mist, no additional magic consumption is required to maintain the form. There is no discomfort when he assumes this form. He can also use black mist to assume the form of an adult human.

His fine motor skills improve while in his human form, and he moves more easily than in his slime form. Even in this form, Limulus does not need to breathe, excrete, or have reproductive organs. However, it can eat, taste and drink freely.

In his human form, Limulus wears a dark blue fur coat, fur-studded boots and a gray scarf. Under his coat, he has a kimono and pants made by Shuna. He also wears underwear made of steel wire that he makes himself. He often wears the old Shizue mask to hide his monster aura.

Upon becoming an awakened demon-king and evolving his race from slime to demonic slime, Limule has been depicted wearing a black overcoat. His fingernails also appear sharper and his overall human form looks slightly older.

Personality

He has a good heart and a quirky personality. Although he is quite laid back and wants to avoid awkward situations as much as possible, he actually works very diligently when there is a task at hand. With the heart of a hard-working employee and a beloved senior colleague, Limule has a hard time turning someone away if they beg him to help, which often leads to him ending up with more work than he can handle, which his boss in his previous life used to berate him for.

Being Satoru Mikami himself, he also thinks he's a KY (Kuuki Yomenai) who makes jokes at the wrong time.

Limule tends to react very severely when there is a danger to those close to him, such as his compatriots, subordinates (perhaps because of the spiritual bond he shares with them), good friends and students (he can't stand it when children suffer) . One might say that he overreacts to these cases, but this simply shows how much he cares about them, in stark contrast to his usual cheerful self. Even Hakuro noted, during the Demon King arc, that Falmus had "angered the one being in the world that shouldn't be angered". Meanwhile, Limulus showed a great burning rage within him for the murder of his countrymen; although he could suppress any outward expression of it, he needed a copy of Shizu's mask to inhibit his mana because of his rage unintentionally releasing his power.

The biggest flaw in Limule's personality is his anxiety problem, present in all three media. After the orc plague was defeated, Limule seemed sure that the Kijin would not follow him afterwards and he was immensely surprised when they did. When Kenya Misaki became a Hero candidate, Limule wondered if he would hunt him down if he found out he was a monster. Finally, Limule expected to be considered a traitor after revealing his identity as a defector from another world, but contrary to his expectations, his followers remained loyal to him.

Another personality flaw of Limulus is his naivety as a world leader. He would have been easy to persuade during diplomatic negotiations, which some leaders tried to take advantage of. King Gazerh also recognizes this flaw and informs Limulus that he is too humble and soft as a leader. Limulus' desire to be pacifist towards humans ultimately has disastrous consequences for his people, for which he takes personal responsibility. This ceases to be a problem after Limulus becomes a demon king, giving him an ominous title so that would-be troublemakers fear him; even after they know him, his status as a demon king still keeps them suspicious.

During battle, Limulus often tends to belittle himself by expecting his enemies to be stronger than they actually are. While this sometimes makes him too passive and too obsessed with hiding his powers, he is also very unlikely to become arrogant during a fight, so it is hard to tell if this trait is a positive or a negative one.

Despite his power and abilities, Limulus' greatest asset is his shrewd and judicious decision making. He has survived against dangerous opponents such as Millim Narva and Hinata Sakaguchi, who could have easily overpowered him before his awakening as an awakened demon king, simply by outwitting them. Limulus prefers diplomatic solutions and will avoid conflict whenever possible, but is not afraid to wage war if necessary, as the invasion of the kingdom of Falmus has shown.

Special moves

Satoru Mikami wakes up and discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime, which takes him some time to get used to. Since slimes don't sleep, can't see and only have the sense of touch, he eats grass nearby to pass the time. In the cave, he meets another life form, the hurricane dragon Veldra. Veldra proves to be friendly and teaches him to perceive the environment via mana through the additional skill use "Mana Detection". Veldra also remembers the incomparable beauty of a heroine who defeated him 300 years ago ... the two become friends and then name each other as equals. Veldra becomes Veldra Tempest and the slime is named Limule Tempest. To break the infinite jail, they agree to bet Veldra's freedom on Limule's unique skills, and Veldra is stored in Predator's storage space, stuck in time and subject to analysis by Great Sage.

With a new goal in mind and a friend in his heart, Limule eventually emerges from the cave. Only after using the Great Sage's mapping function did he succeed. In the 30 days after meeting Veldra, Limulus eats more grass and rocks, namely Hypocta grass and magic ore, as well as other monsters he fights and kills, and develops personal combat skills to defend himself, such as the Aqualam skill.

While exploring the forest outside the cave, Limulus plays with a sound emission skill acquired from absorbing a giant bat and manages to speak. After hearing the situation from the village leader and being promised eternal loyalty, the brave Limule helps them, defeats the wolf leader and acquires the rest of the pack as subordinates. He tells the goblins and wolves to get along, and thus the new village is born under his rule.

In this world, most monsters are nameless, with only the high-level Majins able to give names to others. When Limule realizes that there is no practical way to get their attention beyond calling them "you", he names them all. Among them, the village chief is named Riguru'd, the chief's son is named Riguru, the new leader of the wolves is named Ranga, and a natural goblin is named Gobuta, who later becomes a notable figure among Limulus' best servants. All the named monsters evolve, become stronger, but their clothes no longer fit and their doorframes are now too rustic for them, so Limulus, with Gobuta, Riguru, Ranga and a group of Hobgoblins and storm wolves, travel to the dwarf kingdom, Dwargon, to acquire clothes and a skilled house builder.

Limule, after some misunderstanding, helps a masterful blacksmith, Kaijin to fill his quota of swords at the request of the king. It turns out that the magical ore Limulus ate in the seal cave is a high quality forging material. In exchange for his help, Kaijin promises to provide Limule with a good blacksmith, and Limule offers to help Kaijin's friends Garm, Dord, and Myrd, who are very skilled at their craft but bad at business. However, a certain minister named Vester dishonestly brings them down in disgrace, and Kaijin, after delivering his quota, is exiled from the country with Limule and the three dwarf brothers. Upon his return, other goblin villages join Limule's new village after hearing about his greatness. Limulus names them and grows them afterwards. The dwarves and hobgoblins immediately begin working on building housing. While building the new city, Limule meets four adventurers who are surveying the land in front of Veldra's cave on behalf of the free guild in the small country of Burmund, which he saved from a giant ant by striking it with the Black Lightning. Limule sends Sôei to negotiate with the leader of the lizardmen, while the others are ordered to make weapons and armor for the coming battle. After a week of preparations, Limule leaves with the kijin and goblin riders to launch a counter-attack. They meet a young lizard-woman fighting an orc general with orcs and save her life. She explains that she is the daughter of the chief and the sister of Gabiru and that her brother overthrew their father and is now fighting against the orcs. Limule promises to save the lizardmen and finally leaves to deal with the orcs.

The Kijin show off their newly acquired power and Ranga manages to evolve into a star wolf storm in the middle of the battle. Before Limule can fight the Orc Lord, Germudo shows up, trying to kill Gabiru so that he can become food for the Orc Lord, but after Limule stops him from doing so and strikes him, the Orc Lord Gerudo kills and devours Germudo, evolving into a demon-king seed and becoming an orc plague.

Seeing that the Kijin's attack does not work against the Orc Scourge, Limule chooses to fight him alone. After a fierce battle of corrosion and mutual devouring, Rimuru manages to take down the orc scourge and convince it that Limule himself will take on the sins of the orcs and let Gerudo rest in peace.

Once the battle is over, Triney announces a meeting in the forest to discuss the consequences of the war and invites all the participating races to bring their representatives. During the meeting, Limule managed to convince the participating races not only to forgive the orcs, but also to work together from now on. Everyone agreed with the idea and Limule became the chancellor of the new Jura alliance.

With the orcs and other races now working together, the city of Limule became even larger and began to attract the attention of the surrounding eyes, monsters and humans.

Gazerh Dwargo, the king of the dwarves, is surprised by the reports from the city of monsters and wishes to know their nature, while four demon lords - Millim, Frey, Callion and Clayman - plan to send their subordinates to spot them. On the other hand, a nobleman from the kingdom of Falmus sends a scouting unit composed mainly of convicts to investigate the remaining orc army inside the Jura Forest. The Border Expedition Force led by Yomu has been tasked with this job.

Gazerh understands that Limulus' intentions are good and makes an alliance with the nascent mixed federation, Tempest. The city of Limule becomes the capital of this federal empire. Limule also takes the children of the lizardman leader, Abiru, under his wing and appoints them as their respective soldiers; Gabiru and her younger sister, Soka, are among their people to become dragonauts. Limule also welcomes Vester, who, wishing to make amends for his past actions, agrees to produce universal healing potions in a laboratory near the seal's cave (he then proves to be an outstanding researcher).

The alliance is joined by the kingdom of Burmund through the agreement of Fuse, the master of the free guild. After befriending Millim, Limule saves one of the animusketeers, Phobio the black leopard, after a battle where he absorbs Veldra's accidental son, Charybde. He also makes a friendly and commercial deal with Callion, master of the kingdom of Eurasania.

He leaves for a few days to become a teacher, also registering as a rank B adventurer. He becomes familiar with Shizue's students: Kenya, who masters fire; Gale, who can project energy spheres; Ryota, who can increase his strength and speed tenfold, although he becomes uncontrollable in this state; Chloe, who is good with water spells; and Alice, who can control golems.

One day, while they are on a picnic, a celestial dragon heads towards the city. Limule, taking the form of an adult hero, devours the dragon with Voracity, saving many lives, including that of a merchant who reveals the location of the home of the spirit queen. Once there, after a battle with a magical soldier that ends in a lightning victory, the group meets one of the most ancient demon-kings, Lamilis the Spirit Queen. She guides them to the spirit dwelling place, where Lamilis absorbs lower spirits to create three higher spirits (an earth spirit, a sky spirit, and a hurricane spirit), and implants them into Gale, Alice, and Ryota. A higher spirit of light enters and transfigures itself into Kenya. Finally, a spirit being similar to Chloe in adult version merges with the latter after stealing a kiss from Limulus (Veldra seemed to recognize in the entity the heroine who defeated him 3 centuries ago).

After having said goodbye to his students and entrusted his mask to Chloe, Limule set out again towards Tempest; but on the way back, he was held up and had to face Hinata Sakaguchi. He narrowly escapes death thanks to a controllable clone which was disintegrated, while he remains hidden until Hinata leaves the place. Having a bad feeling, he rides Ranga to Tempest and sees the horrible carnage that took place during his forced fight.

Limulus has become enraged because the kingdom of Falmus has killed many citizens of Tempest, including Shion and Gobuzo. He decides to absorb them, but Helen intervenes by telling Limulus that he can revive them by slaughtering 10,000 humans, thus becoming a demon-king. Great Sage deduces that the chances of success were 3.14%. Limulus then makes his resolution and sets his plan in motion. Limulus begins his attack using a spell called meggido and mercilessly slaughters Falmus' army. After about 5,000 people are slaughtered, he acquires a skill called ruthlessness, which harvests the souls of those who have lost the will to fight. He then immediately uses the skill to kill the rest of the Falmus army. The only survivors were the king of Falmus, Edmaris, Archbishop Rayhiem and the court mage, Razen. All this happens by confronting the three. After that, Limule begins his harvest festival, an event where one becomes an awake demon-king after a deep sleep. Limulus begins to feel extremely tired, and there are still dangers, with Razen surviving Merciless. because of this, he summons Ranga to bring him back to town. he also summons 2 higher demons and the primordial demon Black to capture Razen. immediately after, Limulus passes out and starts the harvest festival. In the process, his unique skills evolve into ultimate skills. Great Sage evolves into Raphael by sacrificing Transformist, and Voracity evolves into Beelzebub by sacrificing

The Gazerh king comes to meet Limule, followed by Fuse. Gazerh points out that he hasn't changed; indeed, Elalude has always been a father hen. They settle down and discuss an alliance pact between Tempest, Dwargon, Burmund and Salion. It is then that Lamilis bursts in the middle of the conversation to warn Limule of an imminent danger, but she is calmed and waits for the end of the meeting before announcing that Walpurgis has been launched on Clayman's request, and that the latter intends to launch his army for a massacre while being with the other demon-king so as not to attract suspicion. Preventing this, Limule prepares a multi-front attack plan.

On D-Day, Tempest's army and the Falcon-Men gathered after Millim's destruction of the capital of Eurasia go to war against Clayman's troops; for his part, Limule makes a golem for Triney to accompany Lamilis and Beretta. Later, in Limule's office, a magic door appears and opens. A servant of Guy Crimson arrives to lead Lamilis and Limule to the place of Walpurgis. Limule sets off, accompanied by Shion and Ranga. When they arrive, they are greeted by Guy.
