He is the son of Toji Fushiguro, a former member of the Zenin clan who became a hitman, and is Tsumiki Fushiguro's stepbrother. After his father and Tsumiki's mother ran away leaving their respective children alone, Megumi was placed under the guardianship of Satoru Gojo at the expense of the Zenin clan.
Apparence
Megumi is a rather tall teenager with messy black hair and light green eyes.
As a student of Tokyo Exorcism School, he wears the standard high school uniform which consists of a long-sleeved jacket and a high collar of dark color, black pants and brown shoes.
During his visit to Sugisawa High School, he wore a white shirt, black suit pants with brown shoes.
When he is not on a mission, Megumi may wear black baggy pants, a black long-sleeved shirt with a wide collar and black shoes.
Megumi is usually a rather quiet, serious and reserved young man, as Nobara and Yuji notice when they complain that Megumi tells them almost nothing about him. Although he doesn't show much interest in what his classmates usually do, he is always in their company and usually accompanies them to different places, not seeming to reject the idea of spending time with them.
Although seemingly stoic and cold, Megumi wants to help protect people he considers good or kind. He believes that the world is unfair and that an exorcist is a tool to ensure that good people have a better chance of living. Claiming that this is his selfish and irrational desire, he does not see himself as a hero for doing this. This belief that good people deserve to be saved made him save Yuji Itadori and not regret his choice even though Ryomen Sukuna was about to kill him. The other aspect of his personality is that he is quite insensitive when he talks about the death of criminals and killers because he feels that they did not deserve to live.
Megumi seems to have always had this view of the world, even since middle school. Even back then, he had a strong hatred for "bad people" because he found them unscrupulous, and he didn't hesitate to beat up his school's thugs to punish them, and the same for "good people" who he found naive and hypocritical. However, when his sister Tsumiki was hit by a curse, Megumi's personality softened somewhat, stating that he wanted to apologize to his sister, considering himself an idiot at the time.
History
When Megumi was in elementary school, her father married Tsumiki Fushiguro's mother. When their parents died, Satoru Gojo intervened and asked the exorcism school to support Megumi and her sister instead of giving them to the Zenin clan. It is also known that Megumi once attended Urami Higashi College, often engaging in many fights. He was usually reprimanded by his beautiful older sister, Tsumiki, for his immoral actions.
Synopsis
Arc Introduction
In June 2018, Megumi is assigned to retrieve a relic from Sugisawa 3 High School but finds that the relic is no longer there. Megumi then calls his superior to inform him of the situation, however the latter tells him that he will not return home until he finds the artifact.
The next day, Megumi walks around the school and discovers a plague. Megumi wonders if there is a dead body in the school, or is it the relic that attracts the spirit. Meeting Yuji running, Megumi notices the relic on him and decides to follow him. After finding him, Megumi asks him for the relic but finds out that Yuji doesn't have the object. Megumi wants to know where the relic is, and Yuji tells her that his elders have it and that they plan to unseal it tonight at his school. So, Megumi goes back to Sugisawa high school with Yuji.
Once there, Megumi tells Yuji to stay outside because of the danger. As Megumi enters the school, he encounters several plagues all attracted to the relic and uses his pets to exorcise them. Megumi manages to locate Yuji's friends, but finds that he can't save them. Suddenly, Yuji appears through a window and manages to save his friends. Megumi then uses this opportunity to exorcise the spirit. At one point, Yuji finds the relic, and Megumi explains to him that the object in his hand is one of the "Fingers of Sukuna" and tells him to give it to her because it is dangerous.
However, they are attacked and cornered by another plague. When Megumi tells him that the spirit wants to eat the finger to become stronger, Yuji swallows the relic however this action signals Sukuna's awakening. After Yuji manages to take back his body, Megumi tells him that he will have to exorcise him because he is now considered as a scourge as Sukuna's host.
Suddenly, Satoru shows up and asks what's going on. Once informed, Satoru tells Megumi to keep her memories, while he confronts Sukuna. After that, Satoru knocks out Yuji and then asks Megumi what they should do. The latter answers him that they must execute him but does not want personally that he dies. Megumi then asks for Satoru's help, which his teacher accepts. The next day after being healed, Megumi meets Satoru and Yuji and informs Yuji that he will enroll in the same high school that he attends.
A few days later, Megumi returns to the exorcism school and takes a nap in her room. Later, when Yuji moves into the room next to hers, Megumi wakes up and complains about the noise he makes. Megumi then listens to Satoru informing them that tomorrow they will pick up the last of the second graders, Nobara Kugisaki.
The next day, Megumi talks with Yuji about the fact that there are so few exorcists. When Satoru shows up, the three of them head to Harajuku to pick up Nobara. After picking up Nobara and all introducing themselves, Satoru takes them to Roppongi, to an abandoned building for a mission. Once they arrive at the place, Satoru brings Nobara and Yuji inside while he and Megumi stay outside. Once Nobara and Yuji get inside, Megumi says that he will also go inside to help them, but Satoru tells her that it's actually a test. When one of the spirits tries to escape, Satoru prevents Megumi from exorcising him so that Nobara can do it. When the mission is over, Satoru decides to take them all out to eat.
Arc Birth of the Matrix
A month later, Megumi, along with Yuji and Nobara, are taken to the detention center for a mission by Kiyotaka Ijichi who explains the situation. When a parent comes to ask if their son is safe, Yuji is determined to go rescue the inmates, to which Megumi says nothing. As they head to the center, Megumi summons one of her pets to locate the plagues nearby. Suddenly, they notice that the exit is gone, but Megumi informs the others that her pet can locate the exit.
The three of them then head deeper into the center, where they come across some dead bodies. Yuji examines one of the corpses and discovers that it is the inmate they are looking for. Yuji wants to get the body back, but Megumi forbids him. The two students argue, but stop when Nobara disappears to another place. Before the two can react to this, an S-class plague appears. Yuji convinces Megumi to go save Nobara while he distracts the spirit, and Megumi takes the badge from the corpse before it leaves.
Megumi manages to locate Nobara and saves her from the plagues hand. Once he gets Nobara out of the center, Megumi gives Yuji the signal to let Sukuna take control of her body. Megumi then stays outside the center to wait for Yuji. When the spirit has been defeated, Sukuna appears behind Megumi and removes Yuji's heart so that he doesn't switch places with him. Megumi attacks Sukuna with several of his pets but the Scourge King defeats them easily. Sukuna compliments Megumi's abilities and when Megumi is cornered, Sukuna decides to throw his last bit of strength into the battle but Yuji manages to take over his body. Megumi has a brief conversation with Yuji before he dies.
Arc Initiation to the occult
The next day, Megumi is with Nobara in a shrine who is saddened by Yuji's death. Maki Zenin, Panda and Toge Inumaki appear in front of them. Nobara wonders who they are and Megumi tells him that they are the first ones of the school. He also tells her that there is a fourth one, but that he is abroad at the moment. When the first ones ask the second ones to join them for the Inter-school friendship because they don't have enough students to participate, Megumi and Nobara accept their proposal but say that they will have to train first.
Later, Megumi informs the mother of the inmate Yuji is looking for at the detention center that her son has died. Megumi gives him the badge he was able to retrieve and apologizes for not being able to save him. After that, Megumi meets the first and Nobara. Megumi then starts to train with Maki in the handling of the weapons.
After a while, they all take a break and Megumi asks Maki how she carries her weapons in battle. When Panda and Maki tell her what the other exorcists do to carry their weapons, Megumi remembers what Sukuna told her. He then places his hand in her shadow and tells Maki that it will do.
A few days later, Megumi and Nobara are confronted with the students of the Kyoto exorcism school, Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin. Megumi wonders why they are here and Mai tells her that she came because she was worried about them since their classmate had died and then goes on to call them names. This annoys both Megumi and Nobara a lot. Aoi then asks Megumi what kind of girl she is. When Megumi gives her answer to Aoi, Aoi says that he is boring and attacks her. Megumi tries to fight back with her pets but Aoi easily overcomes him. When Megumi decides to go for it, Toge Inumaki and Panda arrive and stop Aoi.
Arc Tournoi
On the day of the Inter-school Friendship, Megumi is with the other students from Tokyo when the students and staff from the Kyoto school arrive. When Satoru shows up and reveals that Yuji is still alive, Megumi is shocked by this news. After the instructors explain the rules of the event, Megumi attends a meeting with the other Tokyo students where they discuss their plan of action. After the meeting, Megumi asks Yuji if something happened to him, Yuji tells her that something happened but he is fine now.
When the event starts, Megumi goes around the site of the friendship with the other students of Tokyo until they meet Aoi. Megumi then separates from the group with Maki and talks with her about how the Kyoto students might be planning to kill Yuji. They then decide to go back to help Yuji. Megumi makes Nue attack Momo Nishimiya, while he confronts Noritoshi Kamo.
Later in a building, Megumi discovers that the arrows Noritoshi shoots are coated with his blood and ponders how his ability works. While Megumi is blinded, Noritoshi arrives in hand-to-hand combat. Megumi manages to force Noritoshi away and has a short conversation with him. He then distracts Noritoshi with a pet, which allows him to summon Elephant of Plenitude to force Noritoshi into an open area. Megumi then casts Nue at Noritoshi, who manages to subdue the pet.
However, the two are interrupted in their fight by Hanami and Toge who force them to run using an Incantation. Megumi, Toge and Noritoshi are discussing what to do, when Hanami suddenly attacks them. Toge holds Hanami back, while Megumi and Noritoshi attack him but it does nothing. Hanami then explains them his reason to kill all the humans, then the three students run away. They then combine their techniques to restrain Hanami and manage to understand that the weak point of the scourge is its branches. They finally wonder if they will be able to get out of the curtain that has been set up by the enemy, but Toge's throat gives way and Nue is defeated. Hanami strikes a powerful blow to Noritoshi, but Megumi saves him before Hanami can finish him off. Megumi plans to attack Hanami, but Toge stops her and uses the last of her strength to send Hanami away, but only just.
Maki then suddenly shows up and attacks Hanami followed by Megumi who slices her branches. The two students then attack Hanami together with cursed objects and the Jade Dog: Totality. However the scourge manages to plant a seed feeding on occult energy in Megumi. As Maki is caught by Hanami, Megumi decides to leave to help her but Maki stops her, saying it's time for them to retire. Suddenly, Yuji and Aoi show up and save them. Megumi notices that Yuji has become stronger and tells him not to die. Megumi and Maki are then carried by Panda who carries them to the outside of the curtain to get help.
Once the intruders have been subdued, Megumi recovers when he is visited by Yuji and Nobara. The three students discuss what happened during the intrusion and vow that they will all become stronger. On the second day of the event, Megumi attends a meeting with the other students and instructors to see if they want to continue the tournament. The students then all agree to continue the friendship and it is decided that the last event of the friendship will be a baseball game. When Maki hits Aoi in the face with the ball, Megumi compliments Maki on the pitch. When the game is over, the Tokyo team wins the tournament thanks to Yuji's home run.
Yasohachi Bridge Mission Arch
A few days after the Inter-school Association, Megumi, Yuji and Nobara are taken to a mission by Akari Nitta. When they arrive at the scene, they have to go to the school where the victims were, Urami Higashi School, to collect information. On the spot, Megumi, Yuji and Nobara ask for rumors about the victims. They discover the Yasohachi bridge and decide to go there to check. After hours of investigation, they discuss the fact that they have found no trace of occult energy. Suddenly, a middle school student and his older sister show up and reveal more information about the bridge and a certain curse that would implements Tsumiki. After discovering this, Megumi goes to check on her sister and asks for protection. Megumi then tells Yuji and Nobara to go back, while he decides to investigate the bridge again.
Later that night, Megumi investigates under the bridge when Yuji and Nobara appear to help him and ask him about his sister. Afterwards, the three cross the river under the bridge and find themselves in the territory of a plague. As the three students prepare to face the spirit, Kechizu suddenly enters the territory. Yuji decides to confront him, while Megumi and Nobara try to exorcise the plagues from the bridge. However, Nobara is suddenly dragged out of the territory and Megumi tries to hold her back but without success. Megumi then tells Yuji to go help Nobara while he deals with the bridge spirit. However, after exorcising all the plagues, Megumi sees a Finger Carrier emerge before him. As they begin to fight, Megumi is overpowered by the scourge. Megumi remembers what Satoru taught her after the tournament and decides to fight seriously. Megumi then deploys her Territory Extension to cover the area with her shadow. Just as the Finger Carrier clears the territory, Megumi appears behind him and finishes him off. Once the spirit is exorcised, the territory created by the Bridge Scourge fades away and Megumi passes out after thinking about her sister.
After Yuji and Nobara finish taking care of Eso and Kechizu, they check on Megumi and discover that he is sleeping. All three of them talk afterwards about what to do with the Sukuna Finger that Megumi found in her fight. Yuji says that he can just eat it, but Megumi advises him against it. Megumi decides to give the finger to Yuji because he looks the most fit, but Sukuna takes the opportunity to eat it. The three of them are shocked by what has just happened, but Akari suddenly shows up and everyone leaves. Two days later, Megumi discusses with Nobara how the incident at the Yasohachi bridge was triggered. He explains to her that the killing spree started after Yuji ate a Sukuna Finger and asks her not to tell Yuji. Later, Megumi is recommended by Aoi for promotion to the rank of Class 1 exorcist.
A few days later, the three students complete another mission, and then Megumi asks Kiyotaka to take him back to school. Later that day, Nobara asks Kiyotaka to take Megumi back to a café. Once there, Nobara explains the Yuko Ozawa situation and Megumi then tells them that Yuji doesn't have a girlfriend. After Nobara asks Yuji to come and they talk a bit, Megumi asks Nobara if Yuko is leaving without taking Yuji's number, to which Nobara replies that she already has hers.
Shibuya Arc Drama
Some time later, Megumi, Yuji and Nobara meet Satoru, who then sends them to Utahime Iori. Once with her, Utahime tells them that they are going to interrogate one of the two agents who they think is a traitor. Utahime also informs them that they suspect that Kokichi Muta, the real identity of Ultimate Mechamaru, is the infiltrator and explains what his ability is. Once they reach the place where Kokichi is supposed to be, they discover that he is not there.
On October 31, Megumi is with Kento Nanami and Takuma Ino at Shibuya station, near exit 13, when they are informed of the situation by Kiyotaka. After that, Takuma tells Megumi everything he knows about the curtain to try to impress her, but Megumi says that he already knows all that. Later, Megumi, Kento and Takuma go to save some civilians who are being attacked by altered humans inside the curtain surrounding Shibuya. Along the way, Megumi and Kento discuss why the civilians are being attacked. When Yuji announces the sealing of Satoru, Megumi, and the other two exorcists arrive at his location. Once they arrive, Megumi listens to Kokichi explain everything to everyone and what they should do next. After Kento accepts Kokichi's plan, he instructs Megumi, Yuji and Takuma to take care of the curtains while he heads to Kiyotaka. After Kento leaves, Takuma informs the two that there are two problems with Satoru's seal, then the three head to the curtains.
As Yuji tries to break through the second curtain, they realize that the curtain is too strong to break through. They discuss how they can slip through the curtain and that the creator of the curtain is most likely inside the curtain itself. Suddenly, Takuma thinks that the creator might be on the outside of the second curtain explaining what an advantage this gives the curtain. The three then discuss where the creator might be and think that he might be at the Shibuya Tower.
As the three reach the Shibuya Tower, they use Nue to reach the top of the tower. While Yuji and Megumi distract the enemies, Takuma manages to break one of the beacons feeding the curtain. Jiro Awasaka, one of the enemies, is then knocked to the ground but Megumi notices that the enemy is still alive. As Jiro gets up, Megumi and Yuji prepare to fight him. During their confrontation, the two students notice that their attacks have no effect on him. Megumi thinks that Jiro's strength must be related to his spell. Megumi then tells Jiro that he shouldn't be here since Satoru is in Shibuya but the master of the plagues answers her that he knows that Satoru has been sealed and that it's high time he kills them. Megumi causes a diversion and escapes with Yuji. He tells her that he has understood Jiro's technique.
After making a plan of action, Megumi calls back the Evasion Rabbits and then summons the Elephant of Plenitude on Jiro and takes a step back. This annoys Jiro who tells her to face him like a man. Then, the two students approach Jiro and manage to distract him so that Megumi's Toad hurts the enemy. Yuji then delivers a punch to the flail master and manages to defeat him. After tying up Jiro, Megumi and Yuji break the power supply to the curtains but notice that only one of the curtains has been deactivated. As the two discuss what to do, Megumi notices that Takuma has been ejected from the tower and they quickly rescue him. After rescuing Takuma, Yuji plans to go inside Shibuya Station while Megumi takes Takuma to get medical treatment.
Once Takuma is safe, Megumi heads to the station. There, Megumi makes her way into Dagon's Territory Extension and manages to give Maki the Floating Cloud. He then uses his own Territory Extension to create a hole for them to escape. But as they escape, Toji Fushiguro enters the Scourge's territory through Megumi's. Megumi informs Kento that the portal he created is closed and thinks that Dagon won't let them open another one. Megumi still tries to activate her territory, while watching Toji fight Dagon. After Toji finishes exorcising the scourge and his Territory Extension is deactivated, Megumi is dragged away by Toji to another location.
A fight begins, and Megumi wonders how to defeat his opponent who is extremely fast. He summons the Evasion Rabbits but without success. Suddenly, Megumi feels Sukuna's presence, giving Toji a chance to attack her. Megumi escapes the attack and quickly runs into an alley. As Toji attacks, he is caught in a trap by Megumi, deflecting her blow. Toji then walks away and asks Megumi what his last name is. The latter answers him Fushiguro which makes happy Toji who stabs himself in the head. Megumi is shocked and goes to check the body and notices that he has changed his appearance. Megumi decides to leave him and go to heal herself, but is suddenly attacked by Haruta Shigemo.
Megumi tries to run away and wonders how to get more pets. Unfortunately, Megumi collapses and then has the memory of Satoru who tells her that two former leaders of the Zenin and Gojo clans killed each other. Megumi thinks that he can become even more powerful and summons a pet. Haruta tries to stop him, but Megumi still manages to summon Makora. Megumi faints and Makora sends the student exorcist crashing into a wall.
When Sukuna arrives, he finds Megumi seriously injured. Sukuna then heals the student exorcist and tells him not to die yet because he still needs him to do something. Once Makora is defeated, Sukuna then takes Megumi to the location of Masamichi Yaga and Shoko Ieiri.
Yuji's Execution Bow
While Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu are talking, Megumi arrives and asks Yuji to return to the exorcism school. Yuji tells her that he can't because he has killed too many people but Megumi tells him that it's all their fault, not just Yuji's. He tells her that they are all exorcists. He tells her that they are exorcists and not heroes fighting for justice. Megumi also adds that they have to save people and tells Yuji to start by saving him and reveals that Noritoshi Kamo has started the "Murderous Hunt", a fight to the death between exorcists. He explains that he needs his strength because his sister, Tsumiki, is involved.
Arc Preparations for the Tracking
After Yuji finishes talking to Yuta, Megumi informs him that they will first go back to the exorcism school to see Tengen and thus find a way to unseal Satoru and thwart Noritoshi's plans. Yuji then asks Megumi how Nobara is doing but the latter doesn't answer him, leaving Yuji puzzled. When Yuta raises the question of how to find Tengen's hideout, Choso intervenes and explains that to see Tengen they will be able to rely on him.
When they arrive at the exorcism school, Yuji, Megumi, Yuta and Choso join Yuki Tsukumo and Maki. After that, they all go to the basement of the exorcism school and arrive at the Dead Star Pavilion. Once there, they don't see anything and decide to leave but at the same time Tengen arrives and holds them back. Yuki asks Tengen why he sealed the Dead Star Pavilion for them, and tells them that he was afraid they would sympathize with Kenjaku. Confused, Yuki asks him who Kenjaku is and Tengen tells them that he is the exorcist residing in Suguru's body and formerly in Noritoshi's. When Yuji interrupts the conversation, Megumi thinks how brave he is to cut an important discussion. Then, he and Yuta ask Tengen what are Kenjaku's objectives and how to unseal Satoru, which Tengen is about to do.
After Tengen reveals Kenjaku's objective and Yuki and Choso are appointed as his bodyguards, Tengen tells them how to unseal Satoru. He gives them the "Backside" of the Edge of Mercy and tells them that in order to force its opening, they will either need the Heavenly Spear or the Black Thread. However, Tengen also tells them that the Heavenly Spear was either sealed or destroyed by Satoru and that Satoru would have destroyed the Black Thread as well, which Megumi and Yuji are annoyed about. Yuta adds that he had gone to look for the Black Thread with Miguel but that they didn't find anything. However, Tengen tells them that they have another asset, Hana Kurusu, a thousand-year-old exorcist and participant of the Murderous Stalk who can annihilate spells. Megumi, shocked, asks Tengen if he knows where she is, which he confirms.
Then, Megumi and the others review and analyze the rules of the Murderous Stalk to set up an effective plan. Everyone is assigned a role, then Maki orders Megumi and Yuji to find Kinji Hakari as agreed before but to come back if it goes wrong. After that, Megumi, Yuji, Yuta and Maki leave.
Some time later, Megumi and Yuji arrive in the Tochigi district where Kinji has settled to become an underground fight organizer after being suspended by the school management. On the spot, they change their clothes so that Kinji can't recognize them and run away. Once done, they enter in a parking lot and ask to participate in the fights. The bouncers then ask them where they know the existence of the fight club and Megumi lies to them. The bouncers have their boss's approval and let them enter but only want Yuji to participate. Megumi agrees and the two of them go to prepare. Megumi tells Yuji to do some research from the inside while he tries to infiltrate.
After that, Megumi manages to sneak into the fight club and starts his investigation on his own. He then meets Panda outside the fight club who tells him that he knows where Kinji is, but he can't get close to him because of Kirara Hoshi's technique. The two of them decide to infiltrate in the control room to meet Kinji. They disable the guards but unfortunately they meet Kirara with whom they start a fight.
Kirara pushes Megumi away with his spell and then tries to run away to warn Kinji. However, he is stopped by the force that binds him to Megumi and is forced to continue the fight. Megumi explains to him that they need his help to face Kenjaku. Kirara doesn't care what he wants and Megumi asks him what happened with the bridges. Panda explains to him that they were despised because of their complicated and evolving fate. Kirara adds that they have Satoru with them anyway which leaves him suspicious of their goals. Megumi reveals to him that Satoru has been sealed but Kirara doesn't believe them. Megumi then summons Evasion Rabbits.
Megumi notices marks on his rabbits then dispels the spell. He then asks Panda if he didn't see a name and a mark on his body, which Panda confirms. Megumi also notices a mark on his body and understands at once what Kirara's spell is based on. He joins Panda and explains him that the names they have on the body are those of the stars of the Southern Cross. He then tells him his theory about how the spell works but they are attacked by Kirara.
He then receives objects having the same star as him but manages to dodge them. Thanks to Totality, Megumi manages to master Kirara. The latter is astonished that he succeeded in countering his technique and Megumi tells him that he just believed in his good star although he has now understood the spell. Kirara is annoyed by this but Megumi releases him to his dismay. Megumi kneels down and begs him to help them. Kirara accepts but at this moment, all of them are stopped by the sudden arrival of Yuji and Kinji. Yuji tells Megumi and Panda not to intervene while he is being hit by Kinji. Megumi tries to stop Yuji but nothing can be done. However, thanks to his determination, Yuji succeeds in convincing Kinji and the latter calls all the people present to join him.
Skills & Competencies
Megumi entered high school as a class 2 exorcist. He is considered to have high potential by Satoru Gojo, Noritoshi Kamo, Mai Zenin and even Sukuna. The King of Scourges notes that Megumi's willingness to use hand-to-hand combat makes him different from other pet users.
According to Satoru, Megumi has the same potential and skills as Yuji [18] and later implies that Megumi could reach the same level as him one day or even surpass him. [19] Megumi can also fight and even defeat S-class plagues. It is this last point that caused him and his classmates to be recommended by Mei and Aoi to become class 1 exorcists. [20]
Increased strength: Although he is not as strong as Yuji, Megumi has been shown to possess a high level of physical skill. When he was still in high school, he had beaten half the thugs in the area.
Increased Resistance: Megumi is very resilient. He has been able to withstand powerful blows from Sukuna and repeated attacks from Aoi. He also survived a blow from an S-Class Scourge and later won outright against it.
High durability in battle: Megumi has exceptional endurance. He is able to materialize his Territory Extension for a long time, despite it pushing him to his limits. He was able to engage in a territory fight with Dagon for an extended period of time, and then followed up with a fight against Toji after that. He was even able to take a stabbing and continue fighting while being able to summon Makora.
Increased speed and reflexes: Although he is not as naturally fast as Yuji or Maki, he has shown that he is able to follow their movements and fight effectively alongside them. In particular, Megumi has considerably better reflexes than the others. He was able to react to Jiro Awasaka's attacks. Megumi was also able to dodge Noritoshi's arrows and was even able to react to Toji's attacks even though he couldn't see him.
High tactical intelligence: Megumi showed a high level of tactical thinking. He is able to quickly spot various weaknesses of his opponents, being the person who recognizes Hanami's branches as his weak point. Megumi is also able to determine what cursed techniques his opponents may have, as shown in his fight with Yuji against Jiro.
Weapon Mastery: Megumi's spell makes it difficult for him to wield weapons simultaneously, as his techniques require both hands. He started training with training sticks under the watchful eye of Maki Zenin. He also used tonfas to fight Noritoshi Kamo.
Jujutsu
Immense Occult Energy: Megumi was able to summon Jade Dog: Totality, Naked, Toad, Evasion Rabbits twice in a row, Elephant of Plenitude which consumes a large amount of occult energy as well as being able to activate Territory Expansion which consumes a massive amount of occult energy and showing his excellent control over occult energy in less than an hour during the Shibuya Drama. He was even able to summon Makora after using Territory Expansion.
Ten Shadow Technique: Megumi's innate spell is a hereditary spell from the Zenin clan, which uses shadows to create pets and deals with ten at a time. It can create a variety of advanced pets and also uses shadow to hold items. Currently, Megumi can only summon two pets at a time and is even able to hide in a person's shadow, something he could only do in his territory before.
-
Jade Dogs: Megumi summons two black and white pet dogs that hunt and devour plagues.
- Totality: Later, after the White Jade Dog was destroyed by the plague of the detention center, Megumi invested the Jade Dogs' abilities and occult energy into a stronger version of the Black Jade Dog.
- Naked: An owl-like pet that can fly. Strong and powerful enough to carry a human, its offensive abilities are mainly swooping attacks from the sky. It also has an electrical ability.
- Giant Snake: A giant snake familiar that can be used as a surprise attack coming out of the ground, coiling and binding the opponent. This pet was destroyed by Sukuna
- Toad: Several large toads, using their tongues to pin and hold their opponents. Megumi also used a toad to save Nobara.
-
- Bottomless Pit: Using a combination of two pets; Naked and Toad, toads gain wings as well as the ability to fly.
- Elephant of Plenitude: A familiar elephant capable of releasing large amounts of water from its trunk. Megumi can only use her basic form as it consumes a lot of occult energy. By summoning the Elephant of Plenitude and Naked at the same time or in succession, and using their respective faculties, Megumi causes an elemental reaction. He combines water and electricity and electrocutes his opponent, rendering him unable to move like in his fight with Noritoshi.
- Evasion Rabbits: A large number of familiar rabbits that distract the enemy, so that the user can escape.
- Blade of Yatsuka Punished King of the Gods, Makora: The most powerful pet that can be summoned via the Ten Shadow Technique. To date, not a single user of the Ten Shadow Technique has been able to exorcise and control Makora, and Megumi is no exception.
Territory Expansion: Garden of Shadows: Megumi's Territory Expansion creates an environment flooded with a large amount of fluid shadow. In this territory, Megumi is able to summon multiple pets and even create a duplicate of herself from the shadow. When the territory is deployed, Megumi is able to hide in the shadow of an enemy and attack from their blind spot. He developed his territory while on the verge of death from a Finger Carrier. By imagining himself freely going beyond his limits, Megumi unfolded his territory for the first time, but he didn't have a strong grip on his energy to be able to manifest it completely. Currently, Megumi can only partially manifest his territory.

Staff: For training, Megumi uses a long wooden staff to improve her skills in close combat with weapons.
Tonfas: A wooden weapon consisting of a stick with a perpendicular handle for grip. The tonfas Megumi uses are not cursed objects, but normal tonfas that he imbues with occult energy.
Saber: Megumi first used a cursed item in the form of a Chinese sword with a large black blade, a golden guard and a red pommel against Hanami. It is very useful in close combat for Megumi and the latter can couple the use of his sword with one of his invocations taking the opponent by surprise.
Floating Cloud: This is a cursed S-class item that takes the form of a stick divided into three sections and boosts the user's physical strength with occult energy. Megumi and Maki were able to exchange cursed items in the middle of the battle to destabilize Hanami, leaving him open to attacks from the Floating Cloud. Even Megumi, who has only average physical strength, was able to harm Hanami by using the staff. However, Megumi admitted that he was uncomfortable with a three-sectioned staff.
