Tao Men is a fictional character from the manga series Shaman King and its sequel Shaman King Flowers. Son of Tao Ren and Iron Maiden Jeanne, Men is the main heir of the Tao family.

Apparence
As a child, Tao Men looks very much like his father, even sporting the same tongari hairstyle. However, he has silver hair and red eyes like his mother.
As a teenager, Men wears the same school uniform as his father, with a gold blazer, white shirt and shorts, but with a ribbon bow instead of a tie. He retains the tongari hairstyle, but his hair is now a bit more wavy, like his mother's.
Personality
In his early days, Men shows no distinct personality traits. However, he manages to burp the word "Baka" to Horohoro, either by accident or on purpose.
As he grows older, Tao Men is just as impulsive, arrogant, and brash as his father. As he is raised to be the heir of the Tao family, he also despises those he considers beneath him. His superior attitude and manner of speech, however, are reminiscent of his mother, acting serene when she is not in battle or agitated. Alumi Niumbirch describes men as extremely stubborn and obstinate, but at the same time he has a tender heart. Despite his bloodlust in battle, Men adheres to an iron rule taught by his parents not to kill anyone.
Before his mother's death, Men seemed more cheerful and Ren even noted that he tended to get into mischief.
Capabilities and powers
As the child of Ren and Jeanne, Men has exceptional talent as a shaman and was already able to perform an Over Soul at the age of seven. Because of his ability to use an Ove Soul and his mastery of both his parents' spirits at such a young age, Alumi calls him a purebred shaman. YVS also stated that Men has the highest Furyoku level in the Hao team.
Spirit
Men inherited the guardian ghosts of his father and mother, Bason and Shamash, respectively. For the Over Soul with Bason, he uses a legendary guandao, wielded by Bason while he was alive, which Men inherited from his father. For his Over Soul with Shamash, Men uses a spike, which was removed from Jeanne's Iron Maiden.
History
Funbari no Uta
Tao Men is first seen six years after the tournament as a child when Tao Ren brings him to the meeting of the five elemental warriors. As he and his father arrive at the train station in a chariot, Men gets out first while Ren speaks from inside the carriage, giving the impression that Men is the one doing the talking. This, combined with Men's resemblance to his father, causes everyone to momentarily mistake him for his father. Ren then comes out behind Men and picks him up, introducing him as his son and saying that his name was Men.
While they are all waiting for Asakura Yoh and Asakura Anna , they go to a family restaurant, where Men is seen eating a children's menu and becomes the topic of discussion as no one knows who his mother is. While Horohoro gets clues from Lyserg about who the mother might be, Men somehow manages to look at Horohoro and even calls her a dummy. When Ryu arrives and tells of Yoh and Anna being delayed, Men mimics Ren, who gets up angrily and yells.
Flowers
After arriving in Japan, Men begins walking towards his destination, until he is stopped by two shamans who both want revenge on him for his mother's actions of murdering their fathers during shaman fights. After being attacked by them, he uses Shamash to torture them.
Having noticed Asakura Hana just below his location, Men attacks him, as he refuses to accept Hana as his boss, until he is stopped by Ibuki Gakko. They both start to fight until Men breaks Gakko's operating system. As Men prepares to hit Hana from behind, Hana is suddenly saved by Asakura Yohane. Yohane tries to attack Men, who avoids him and attacks him with the torture wheel instead. Annoyed, Hana summons her Onis to try to fight back. Seeing Hana, Men sheds a tear and mentions that with this power, his mother will be saved.
