Apparence
Aomine has particularly tanned skin. He has navy blue hair that is quite short and falls to the right side. He often frowns, with his blue eyes slightly crinkled. Aomine is tall and muscular.
He wears the black and red jersey of the Tōō Academy, wearing the number 5. His summer clothes consist of a white tank top and beige pants. In the winter, Aomine is often seen wearing a light wool shirt, a black hoodie, and a black vest.
Personality
Before acquiring immeasurable strength, Aomine was a friendly person who went out a lot. He was always motivated on match days and always tried to improve himself. Momoi said that the former Aomine was very similar to Kagami. He loved playing basketball and was very good at it. However, as time went on, Aomine became stronger and stronger to the point of literally crushing all his opponents. Eventually, he began to lose his taste for winning and playing basketball. Winning came so easy to him that he gradually started to stop practicing, saying that it would only widen the gap with the others. The matches were so boring that he yawned every time he went to them. Aomine was desperate to find a player who could compete with him, but he never found one. Finally, he came to the conclusion that he was simply the strongest with his motto, "The only one who can beat me is myself." He has also put his feelings towards his opponents aside and now considers them weak and just wants to crush them. He often seeks to humiliate them. He has also become very lazy, only coming to training and matches when he wants to.Aomine also has an angry temper and a sort of admiration for Kuroko even after his "change", such as when he threatened a player at the Tōō Academy when the player mocked him. Also, when Haizaki stole Kuroko's food, Aomine told him, irritated, to go get a refill. He is also a big fan of Japanese idols. He seems to be interested in this field of entertainment and he knows many idols. He also said that he likes models with big breasts.
Aomine proves to be very protective of his former Teikō College teammates, this is a side that Aomine doesn't show often and his current teammates call it Aomine's "soft side". After Kise's match against Shōgo Haizaki, Aomine punched Haizaki to make sure he didn't attack Kise later or at the Winter Cup.
History
Past
Aomine started playing street basketball before receiving any kind of training. It was seen that he often played with Momoi, revealing that they were childhood friends. As he grew up, he started to play against streetballers. This was the development of his flexible and constantly changing basketball.
Aomine went to Teiko for three years. He joined the basketball club as a freshman and was put in the first team immediately. One day, when Aomine stayed to train, he was forced to go to another gym because the regular gym was already occupied. He was warned by Momoi (who was the team manager at that time) that the gym was haunted by a ghost, but Aomine didn't believe her. He entered and heard basketball noises, but could not see anyone playing, leading him to the conclusion that maybe there really was a ghost. Kuroko goes behind him and tells him that he doesn't have to be afraid, they introduce themselves. They talk for a while and Aomine compliments Kuroko for staying so late to practice that proves his love for basketball. Kuroko and Aomine start to train together and become good friends. Aomine also persuaded Kuroko to continue playing basketball when he wanted to quit this sport, saying that his determination was deep even if he is not the best. When Kuroko finally joined the first team of Teiko, Aomine and Kuroko were perfect. Kuroko's misdirection and his invisible passes linked to Aomine's strength. This was just the beginning of the first "light and shadow" relationship.
In his second year, Aomine inspired Kise to play basketball and he became his training partner. Kise was still a new recruit, apart from his ability to reproduce, Aomine was obviously stronger than him, but Aomine still wanted to keep training with him, just because he likes basketball. He taught Kise a lot, he became his mentor. During this time, Aomine also became the ace of the team. Aomine was the first to "change", as Kuroko explained. He suddenly became a completely different and surprisingly strong player. He took Teiko's wins to a whole new level, crushing their opponents with three to five times points, once he even reached 200 points. He started not to come to the trainings as often as before.
When Kuroko confronted him about this, he told him that the game became boring for him. Midorima said that he needed a rival, but he never found one. Aomine also became too strong compared to his teammates, too strong for his own good. In the games, Aomine began to do just the minimum to ensure his team's victory. Kuroko tried to convince him otherwise and said that he will surely find a rival one day. However, he grew with even more power. He told Kuroko that he respects his thoughts, but that his rival will never come. Aomine came to think that no one could match him. That's when his arrogance becomes present .
Preliminaries of the interhigh
The team from Aomine,Tōō Academy won the entire preliminaries to the final without any problems.
Final
During the final in the A block of the Interhigh, at the end of the match of Seirin vs Shutoku, Aomine is seen for the first time at that moment. Momoi bumped into him in the gym, where he had relaxed and almost fell asleep. Momoi informs him about the match that involves Shintarō Midorima and Tetsuya Kuroko, with Momoi justly in love with Kuroko.
After the match, Momoi calls Midorima on his phone, which Aomine takes his phone and Midorima warns him that he should beware of Seirin High School. Aomine replies that this is ridiculous and concludes that the only person who can beat him is himself.
League Final
After asking Momoi where Kagami is, Aomine finds him training. Aomine invites him to a match against him but Kagami asks him his first name before that. Aomine gives him his name and Kagami realizes that he is one of the members of the Generation of Miracles. He asks him for a match in order to distract him a little. Aomine dominates Kagami and tells him that his partnership with Kuroko will fail, because Kagami is too weak, before rushing in front of him and finishing the match. He sees Momoi right after and tells him that Kagami is disappointing.
The team is in lunch break when Aomine returns in the gym . He takes some pieces of Sakurai's bento without asking and makes a little excuse when someone asked where he was . He got irritated when a teammate complained about his absence and stepped aside after taking down his magazine . Suddenly, Wakamatsu stopped him and grabbed him by the collar in anger and shouted that he should go to training more often. Aomine said that he is not very enduring and that he will leave Wakamatsu for this time, although he gave him a violent blow in the stomach shortly after. Aomine then takes a basketball and mocks the training, saying that he will not go as long as he behaves well in the games. He dunks with ferocious power, breaking the basket. He leaves after saying that they are better than him for the beginning of the games. Shoichi Imayoshi comments that Aomine is forgiven for these actions because he is simply a sports player in the process of development.
A few days later, the first day of the Interhigh arrived. The first game is Seirin vs Tōō , and both teams arrived at the gym , only Aomine is missing . Momoi calls him on his phone and Aomine turns out to be still at school ,he slept too long . Imayoshi then talks to Aomine, telling her to come as soon as possible. Aomine cuts him off by saying that Seirin is not a big problem and that everything will be fine.
He is forced by his coach and teammates to play. As he walks on the field, Seirin players recognize his huge presence. As the last minute of the second quarter begins, Aomine immediately receives the ball. He passes Kagami with ease, but Hyuga is there. Aomine turns in front of him. However, at this moment Kagami catches him and blocks him. Aomine is surprised and stumbles, but he reacts quickly enough to stop the dunk of Kagami. The quarter ends with him saying that Seirin is actually not that bad, and the crowd is overwhelmed by the confidence he shows in saying that.
Interhigh
When the match between Kaijō and Tōō started, Kise was quickly beaten because he still had admiration for Aomine but when Kise started to use his perfect copy to imitate Aomine's style, he was quite repulsed but he was able to stop Kise's attempt to score. After the match which was won by Tōō, Imayoshi revealed that Aomine had an even higher level in terms of strength, speed.
Winter Cup
Aomine appears during the Winter Cup when Akashi summoned the Generation of Miracles. He is seen spinning a basketball on his fingers when Tetsuya Kuroko arrives. Noticing that Kuroko is followed by Furihata. Murasakibara retorts that Aomine is still with Satsuki, Aomine tells him to shut up . Kuroko greets them all. Akashi arrives and greets them. After threatening Kagami with Midorima's scissors, he turns to leave, raising Aomine's anger, who asks him for what reason he came. Akashi answers that he just wanted to check that they didn't forget their oath, which is apparently not the case.

Aomine is later seen walking with his team on the Winter Cup field, preparing for their match against Seirin High School, where he is announced as "the ace of the Miracle Generation". The two teams enter the field, Kagami approaches Aomine. Aomine sees that Kagami has improved. Kagami admits that he has been trained hard. Meanwhile, Kagami arrives only now which makes Aomine laugh at him. Kuroko prepares for his Ignite Pass Kai, Aomine thinks he recognizes it as a normal Ignite Pass, but Kuroko says it's actually a new form of Ignite Pass. Kuroko does not use his Misdirection, which surprises Aomine. He reaches out his hand, preparing to catch the pass, but Kuroko's Ignite Pass Kai pushes Aomine's hand away. The ball reaches Kiyoshi, who gives it to Kagami who scores. He tells Kuroko that it seems that he becomes a little more interesting. Kuroko answers that if he had not changed it would be indeed disappointing.
The match continues, the ball is in the hands of Kagami, he decides to be against Aomine. Kagami executes a simulation of their fight in his head with a high level tactical battle, he finally passes to Izuki, concluding that he would lose if he would go against Aomine now. When the ball goes out of bounds, Aomine laughs and understands that Kagami has made the right decision. He understands that Kagami has evolved considerably and that his tactical battle was just the tip of the iceberg.
The first tie ends with a tie . During the break, Momoi reveals to his team the secret of the Vanishing Drive. They agree that they should keep Kagami and Kuroko separate, but Aomine refuses. He says that they should just let Kuroko do his Vanishing Drive, Aomine will surely be able to stop him. Aomine, says that he is better than Kuroko. Kuroko immediately confronts Aomine when the match starts again, Aomine says that they do have a great mutual understanding of basketball. Kuroko tells him that he is right, Kagami runs to make the technique. It seems that Kuroko succeeded, but Aomine turns and stops Kuroko. He closed his eyes, the only recourse to his basketball sense is Kuroko's breath. He says that their mutual basketball feeling is too bad, he steals the ball from Kuroko's hands. He drives the ball to the basket and he finishes with a dunk. He then turns to Kuroko and tells him that he can't beat him and that his effort is in vain.
Kuroko gets the ball and shoots, in an act of desperation. He pushes the ball with all his strength, but the ball is stopped by Aomine . He stands in the middle of the field and tells Kuroko that the same move will not work on him a second time. He continues saying that his efforts to defeat him were useless and that he should give up. He passes Izuki and meets Kagami under the basket. Aomine makes a formless shot, with his body almost parallel to the ground, he throws over Kagami, he grazes him but the ball goes in, Seirin then calls a time-out .
After the timeout, Aomine tags Kagami but when he gets the ball, Kagami passes it to his teammate rather than going into a one-on-one battle. Kagami tells him that Kiyoshi was just in a good position and was a better choice. During the counter-attack of Too , Aomine has the ball , Murasakibara and Midorima noticed a change of rhythm in the game of Aomine. Aomine tells Kagami that he takes back what he said before and tells him that he is the best.

Kiyoshi gets a free throw because of a foul made by Wakamatsu, but Kagami appears under the hoop to save the ball. Kagami is blocked by Aomine, guaranteeing the victory of Too. Imyoshi was surprised when Kuroko appeared to catch the ball. Kagami receives a pass from Kuroko and dunks the ball to score. The buzzer beater is sounded, Seirin is the winner of the match.

Momoi suddenly clings to Kuroko , she is surprised at how fast he learned to shoot. Aomine says that he himself didn't do much. He thinks by himself that it is strange that Akashi, who taught Kuroko his style of play, did not notice this defect. He is suspicious of Akashi. Kuroko sincerely thanks Aomine, but Aomine says that it is not necessary, that he could not bear to see Kuroko's bad shooting. He then warns him about Murasakibara, he hesitates to tell Kuroko that he is really the one in whom he is fully grateful. He finally said that the next time they will meet, it will be as enemies.
Semi-final
After the quarter finals, Kagami's shoes are unusable. Therefore, Kuroko calls Momoi to help him. However, Kagami is surprised to see that Aomine also came, he asks him why he is still here. Aomine answers with irritation that he had to. Momoi then says that Aomine and Kagami have the same size of shoe, Aomine says that he is going to give the pair of shoe to Kagami if he is able to defeat Aomine in a one on one. He adds that he will give him a little lesson while they play... In the end, Kagami loses, but Aomine decides to give him the shoes anyway. He says that he doesn't want to see Kagami playing poorly in a match just because he doesn't have the right shoes. Kagami reluctantly accepts.
Aomine and Momoi are absent the first semi-final, Rakuzan vs Shutoku and most of the second one, Kaijo vs Seirin. They are seen in a café, when Aomine asks Momoi if she believes in the destiny. Momoi is surprised, Aomine explains that it is hardly a coincidence that something like the "Miracle generation" is created. That the members of the generation are a group, that Kuroko is among them. At the same time, Kagami manages to overcome Kise in one-on-one in the real game.
Aomine and Momoi later enter the gym to watch the last 5 minutes of the match. Aomine is pushed by Momoi and he tells her that they came at the right time, because Kuroko and Kise are about to enter the field for the last showdown. He is then seen sometimes shocked by great improvement of Kise.
Final

During the match of the final, Aomine watched Kagami closely and he commented and made an explanation of the Zone while continuing to watch the result of the match. When Seirin lost their fighting spirit, Aomine joined Ogiwara in shouting to Kuroko and Kagami to encourage them. When he did so, Seirin realized that they were carrying the hopes of their former opponents.
When Kagami finally opened the second zone door, Aomine cried when he realized that there was no "guardian" in front of the door, but he discovered that it was Kuroko. Aomine couldn't open the door because he rejected the notion of teamwork. He then decided to play more collectively with his teammates in order to reach the Direct Drive Zone.
Seirin wins the final, they are announced the winners of this year's Winter Cup. Aomine leaves his teammates, determined to form future tournaments. A few weeks later, Kuroko receives a photo of Momoi which was taken on Kuroko's birthday. The photo shows Aomine with his Teiko teammates posing for a photo after playing street basketball. The photo shows that Aomine with the rest have renewed their friendship as they play basketball together again.
Street basketball
He watched the Team Jabberwock vs Team Strky match on TV with his teammates. They see Imayoshi as a participant. With the game totally one-sided and totally humiliating, Wakamatsu commented that it is "too much". Aomine says that it is common to provoke and tease the opponent. However, he notes that they are not only doing this, he feels targeted. He was totally silent when he saw the humiliation of the team.
He was called by Kagetora Aida with the other members of the Miracle Generation with Kuroko and Kagami to play for their revenge. After the meeting, he notes that this one will surely have a fight. Then, a rivalry seems to start between him and Midorima, Akashi insists that they forget about it. When Kuroko and Kagami arrive, they decide to start training.
