Apparence
Ed is a skinny copper colored teenager with tufts of bright red hair. She is drawn with red marks on her cheeks to accentuate her youth. Edward wears a loose white sleeveless t-shirt, tight bike shorts and she is barefoot. She once tried to wear socks in Mushroom Samba, but immediately lost her balance, suggesting that she may never have even worn shoes. She wears a pair of large green glasses on her head or hanging from her neck at all times. The glasses connect to her computer and allow her to "net dive." Her somewhat androgynous appearance often makes her mistake for a boy.
Personality
Ed showed many unusual traits that are common to a teenager, an eccentric genius and a wild animal. He is a free spirit who sometimes shows emotion by growling or howling like a dog. Edward rarely walks in a normal manner; instead, she prefers to run with her arms flailing, crawl on the ground, do somersaults or walk on her hands. She always talks about herself in the third person and will sometimes respond to a character with nonsense phrases. However, there is also plenty of evidence that underneath her eccentricities lies a kind and caring girl.
Biography
Edward was born on Earth.Seven years before joining Bebop, she was left (abandoned) in a daycare center by her extremely distracted father, Mr. Appledelhi, (he had completely forgotten about her), and then she found her way to a Catholic orphanage where she stayed for two years.
Finally, Edward left the orphanage on his own before her father came to pick her up there. So Ed spent three years alone before joining Bebop.
When she met the Bebop crew, she was living as a nomadic hacker armed only with her computer, Tomato. She had developed a folk hero status among many Earthlings who created larger-than-life descriptions of her. Basically, Edward is a cheerful teenager with an affinity for souvenirs, windmills and Ein the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Her full name is Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tiverusky IV, a name she made up because she thought it was cool.
History
The story takes place in the year 2071, almost 50 years after the gate incident, and humanity has spread throughout the solar system thanks to the space gates it has developed over the years. With the invention of the MONO (Machine Operation Navigation of Outer space), interplanetary travel has become faster, making distant planets like Venus, Mars or Jupiter easily accessible, and at the same time leading to a constant traffic between the different planets and moons of the solar system.
Cowboy Bebop tells the story of Spike and Jet, two bachelors who have teamed up to hunt down outlaws with a price on their heads. Both penniless, they crisscross space aboard the Bebop to replenish their bank account and their fridge. But soon they will not be alone because their manhunt will lead them to cross paths with a smart dog, Ein, a beautiful brunette, Faye, and a young hacker with a zany attitude, Ed.
