Giselle Gewelle

Giselle Gewelle is a Quincy as well as one of the Stern Ritters of Yhwach's army, the Vandenreich. She holds the title "The Zombie". She is one of the antagonists of the Millennium Blood War, being one of the main antagonists of the second battle.

Giselle has long black hair stretching down her back, with two strands of hair rising above her head like antennae. Her attire is a variant of the standard Stern Ritters uniform, consisting of a long-sleeved trench coat, white shoes and black tights. She wears a small white kepi on the side of her head.

Giselle is very lecherous, declaring that Candice likes to have "fun" with her subordinates during the discussion they have with Bambietta about the soldiers she kills, and does so on purpose to provoke Candice, knowing full well that she will try to challenge her to a duel afterwards.

She's the most intriguing of the bunch, since she's the one who gives most of the explanations about the group made up of Bambietta, Candice, Liltotto, Meninas and herself. She's the one who says that Bambietta could end the war with her Vollstandig, or who declares that they'll help the wounded Bambietta after her fight, something that doesn't seem to please the Stern Ritter E...

She's also a great perverse, notably when she was delighted when Candice asked her to help before being saddened, as she couldn't turn her into a zombie. On the other hand, she was totally excited when she saw Bambietta's face begging for her life and killed her before turning her. She's also very touchy, which she shows when she agrees to eliminate Yumichika and Ikkaku after the former offended her by asking if she's a boy, as she smelled semen. Although at no point does she confirm whether this claim is true, the way she is surprised by the problem is notorious and it becomes obvious.

She claims not to be cut out for combat, but is clearly gifted at striking a psychological chord and provoking others into attacking her, and knowing her powers, we understand just how dangerous and sadistic this girl is. By her own admission, finishing off Bambietta to turn her into a zombie made her "wet", and everything about death in general and the way she uses her power proves that Giselle is nothing more than a psychopath.

Giselle is a powerful character among the Stern Ritters. Although she has rarely demonstrated it, she has proved herself capable of dominating Ikkaku and Yumichika, two Vice-Captain-level Shinigamis, without the slightest problem, proving that she is at least Captain-level. As proof of her power, Giselle challenged Yhwach (with Liltotto) while he possessed the power of the Spiritual King, although she was easily defeated. Her particular tenacity, together with her Schrift, The Zombie, which enables her to transform individuals into the undead, make her a formidable fighter.

Giselle is a fighter of a level equivalent to, if not higher than, that of a Captain of the 13 Divisions. She has demonstrated that she can survive mostly fatal wounds, such as a totally open torso. She also has great tenacity, having not suffered too much from her defeat by Mayuri and being one of the last Stern Ritters to be defeated, demonstrating her endurance.

Thanks to her position, Giselle has mastered the basic techniques of the Quincys. By absorbing spiritual particles, she becomes able to move through the air or levitate, among other things.

Using her Quincy abilities, Giselle can create weapons from the surrounding Reishi. Her favorite weapon takes the form of a bow, which she conceals outside combat in a heart-shaped box attached to her belt. When she presses the heart, the bow unfolds and is ready for use. With her weapon, she shoots the traditional Quincys arrows, the Heilig Pfeil, with a skull as arrowhead.

Giselle has inherited the Schrift "Z" for "The Zombie".

The Zombie (死者 (ザ・ゾンビ), Za Zonbi; English for "The Zombie", Japanese for "Deceased") : Anyone touched by Giselle's blood loses control of their body, falling under Giselle's control, becoming a corpse (死体, shitai), erasing all will from it. This aspect of the ability does not work on Quincys, until they are dead. When she uses her ability on Quincys, they have a radically different personality from when they were alive, being able to speak and retaining their abilities such as Vollständig. However, when she uses this ability on Shinigamis, the subject retains the same movements as when alive, losing their personality for a cold, merciless one.

• Healing: Giselle can heal her allies by transferring the biomass of her enemies onto them. She can also survive lethal attacks, and regenerate accordingly.

Quincy: Vollständig

Azhalbiora (神の死 (アザルビオラ), Azarubiora; Japanese for "Death of God"): On activation, a Quincy Zeichen generates above Giselle's head, and bone wings and a skeletal tail sprout from her back. Her Reiatsu is now indigo.

Vollständig Special Ability: Giselle's Schrift, The Zombie, is greatly amplified. Now able to generate bones made of spiritual energy, she can use them in a variety of techniques.

• Sklaverei (聖隷 (スクラヴェライ), Sukuraverai; German for "Bondage", Japanese for "Holy Slave") : This technique uses the most basic of abilities to absorb spiritual particles in its most powerful form: through submission. Giselle used this technique to activate her Vollständig and enhance her abilities.
• Dancing Dead Boys Club (ダンシング デッド ボイス クラブ, Danshingu Deddo Boisu Kurabu; English for "Dancing Dead Boys Club") : Transforming the bones she's generated into 4 skeletal puppets, Giselle can send them to attack her opponent.
• Munchy Munchy Babies (マンチ マンチ ベビース, Manchi Manchi Bebīsu) : When the puppets in the previous technique are broken by an opponent, the opponent is then surrounded by bones. Giselle takes advantage of this opportunity to paralyze him with her bones.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

After the events of the invasion, Giselle and the other Stern Ritters are summoned to Silbern Cathedral. They all witness Yhwach's speech naming Uryū Ishida as his successor. After the announcement, she along with Meninas, Candice and Liltotto join Bambietta in her private quarters, seconds after she has executed a soldier. They reprimand her for killing yet another beautiful boy, before warning her that Bazz-B is causing a ruckus in the common quarters. They decide to join the other Ritters and witness the altercation between Bazz-B and Haschwalth and the intervention of Askin Nakk Le Vaar. Later, Giselle attends a meeting of the Stern Ritters led by Haschwalth. Haschwalth tells them of his intention to steal the hopes of the Shinigami, particularly the Captains whose Bankai has been stolen.

During the second invasion of the Vandenreich, which sustains the Seireitei through the Schatten Bereich, Giselle follows Bambietta, accompanied by Liltotto, Candice and Meninas. She and the others abandon Bambi and hide while she tries to find them. Moments later, they unwittingly turn into Vollständig, when several Stern Ritters transform at the same time. After Bambietta's defeat, Giselle and the others go to her side, badly injured. She sarcastically offers to help. Bambietta, desperate to understand Gigi's true intention, begs her to stop.

After the fight between Kenpachi and Gremmy, Giselle, along with Liltotto and Meninas, accompany Candice when she attacks the Captain of the 11th Division by surprise with a bolt of lightning. While the others reveal their abilities to the other soldiers, Giselle stays back but is attacked by other soldiers, fearing that she will attack her like the others. Revealing her power, The Zombie, which enables her to control all those splashed with her blood, she manipulates the soldiers into committing suicide. Having quickly gotten rid of the 11th Division soldiers, the women decide to finish off Kenpachi, badly bruised from his previous battle. The latter attempts a last stand, trying to slice them up, but, unsurprisingly, is totally powerless in the face of the women, who join forces to finish him off. Unable to rise again, Kenpachi prepares to die. As they argue over who will finish off the captain, the women are interrupted by something flying across the Shakonmaku and crashing into a building.

The women, still facing the building that has just collapsed, haven't seen Ichigo coming and are backing away from his spiritual energy. Candice appears behind Ichigo's back, followed by the others. But the result is the same for all of them: they are sent flying. Giselle wonders who this man could be, and Meninas thinks she's let her guard down, but Liltotto reassures them that the man they're up against is Ichigo Kurosaki, the most formidable of the Special Military Force. Candice, annoyed at being covered in dust, scoffs at their opponent's identity and reputation before deploying her bow and firing an electrically-charged arrow, Galvano Blast, at Ichigo. Declaring that this technique, charged with 5 gigajoules, will reduce him to ashes, Liltotto contradicts her by asserting that it's not one or two Heilig Pfeil that will kill him.

As proof, only Ichigo's Ōken clothes are destroyed, the latter having his shihakushō intact and having suffered no damage. Liltotto, Meninas and Giselle then also deploy their bows and, together with Candice, attack Ichigo together. For his part, Ichigo has no trouble countering each of his opponents' attacks, who then contemplate killing him. Candice, pleased to see that they are of the same mind, activates her Völlstandig, encouraging her friends to do the same. When they refuse, Candice goes for Ichigo alone. After Ichigo is sent flying in a few moves, Liltotto, Meninas and Giselle decide to switch to Vollständig as well. Using Sklaverei to boost her abilities, Giselle reveals the full form of her Vollständig, Azhalbiora.

Meninas is the first to attack Ichigo with Dumbbell Duster, dumbbells made of spiritual energy. Turning her dumbbells into a stick, she is then interrupted by Liltotto. She sends out a spirit-energy jawbone and spikes, knocking the Shinigami backwards. Waiting for the opportunity to attack him from behind, Giselle creates Dancing Dead Boys Club, puppets made of spiritual energy, and sends them hurtling towards Ichigo. Ichigo smashes them with ease, but the bones paralyze the Shinigami. Giselle takes advantage of this opening to attack him with Munchy Munchy Babies, while Liltotto simultaneously attacks him with two gigantic jaws, Golden Crunch, which engulfs Ichigo and Giselle. The Shinigami manages to stop both attacks, but when he sees Meninas charging at him with a great axe, he dodges it.

As a result, the jaw decapitates Giselle and the three Stern Ritters retreat once more. Candice then takes over using Sklaverei and activates the full form of her Vollständig, Balbarriel. She then unleashes her most powerful technique, Electrocution, on Ichigo. He then launches Getsuga Jūjishō, an improved version of Getsuga Tenshō launched with his two sabers. This attack pulverizes Candice's technique and slices her left arm, as she tried to stop Ichigo's attack. She then asks Giselle to push her arm back. Liltotto advises Candice to calm down, but she listens to nothing and lunges at Ichigo, only to be pierced by a Burner Finger 1 from Bazz-B, in Vollständig. He also attacks the other women with a Burner Finger 1 and challenges Ichigo to a duel, declaring that glory was up for grabs and stealing it is the privilege of those who come after.

At this point, NaNaNa Najahkoop, Robert Accutrone and PePe Waccabrada arrive in turn and confirm Bazz-B's words, being disappointed not to have arrived later. Candice, Meninas, Giselle and Liltotto also rise, the latter contradicting Bazz-B by declaring that glory will go to whoever kills Ichigo. Ichigo, now facing 8 Stern Ritters, is surprised by the appearance of a pillar of light behind him in the distance, noticing Yhwach in front of it. Ichigo then manages to escape, covered by the arrival of Renji, Byakuya, Rukia, Ikkaku, Yumichika and Hisagi.

The departure of Yhwach, Haschwalth and Ishida for the Royal Palace causes a huge shockwave that scatters all the fighters. Moments later, Giselle is confronted by Ikkaku and Yumichika. Sitting opposite them, she feigns distress and provokes them. Skeptical, Yumichika advises Ikkaku not to hurt her, as her blood could be dangerous. Giselle continues her game, but the 5th officer of the Eleventh Division is about to discover another of Stern Ritter's secrets. He declares that she's not a real woman because she reeks of sperm. With that, Giselle calls Bambietta for help. Bambietta looks different. Her complexion is dark and her pupils no longer dilate, making her look like a puppet. Bambietta harasses Ikkaku and Yumichika with energy projectiles that explode the scenery. This detail is not lost on Yumichika, who explains the power of the Stern Ritter to Ikkaku, adding that he cannot deflect them with Hōzukimaru.

The latter, far from despondent, turns around and prepares to charge at her, dodging the projectiles. Yumichika, amused, then launches Hadō #57, Daichi Tenyō. This technique launches stone debris at Bambietta's projectiles, protecting Ikkaku from the explosions. The latter can thus plant Hōzukimaru in the Stern Ritter's neck. The latter, however, seems unaffected and is about to blow Ikkaku's skull off. Yumichika comes to the rescue and slices off Bambietta's arm. Giselle, observing the fight below, declares that they cannot kill Bambi because she is already dead. At the same moment, several projectiles explode on Bambietta, seriously injuring both Shinigamis. Giselle adds that it wasn't easy for her to turn her colleague into a zombie, as her power only works on dead Quincys. So she had to kill Bambietta in order to transform her. Giselle declares that seeing her in agony made her wet.

Yumichika, hearing this, retorts that it must have given her a hard-on. Ignoring the latter's remark, the Stern Ritter adds, however, that for the Shinigami, a simple contact of her blood with their skin is enough to transform them, and asks which of Ikkaku or Yumichika wants to be transformed first. Just then, Mayuri arrives with her ultra-luminous garment, accompanied by Nemu. Clearly interested in Gigi's power, he then lowers the brightness of his uniform while Bambietta demands something from Giselle. Giselle promptly slaps her across the face, telling her she's impatient and will get her reward when it's all over. Giselle then sends Bambietta, in Vollständig, to bombard Mayuri. The latter, held by Nemu, observes the speed of the bombs and asks his vice-captain to deploy spheres, setting them to 3 seconds. Bambietta's salvo hits the spheres, but they don't explode immediately.

However, when Bambi and Gigi approach the spheres, they explode, surprising Gigi, who asks the captain for an explanation. He reveals that the spheres block spiritual energy. When Bambi's projectiles hit the spheres, they were changed into bombs, but the mechanism blocked their function for 3 seconds. Bambietta having taken the full brunt of the explosion and being unable to fight, Mayuri invites Giselle and her puppet to become her guinea pigs. Amused, the Stern Ritter unveils an army of zombified Shinigamis, to which the captain retorts that he doesn't have the heart to fight them; sending others to do so. Thus appear Dordonii Alessandro Del Socacchio, Cirucci Sanderwicci, Luppi Antenor and Charlotte Cuuhlhourne, 4 deceased Arrancars whom Mayuri has reanimated for her own personal use.

Having retrieved the first 3 from Szayelaporro Granz's safe and the last from the battlefield of the fake city of Karakura, he sends his own undead to confront Giselle's zombie army. While Dordonii, Cirucci and Luppi slaughter the zombified Shinigamis, GIselle repairs Bambietta's corpse when challenged by Cuuhlhourne. Cuuhlhourne has no trouble overpowering Stern Ritter "E" by throwing her into a building. But seeing that her opponent is nothing more than a persistent corpse, the Arrancar then throws her unique Cero: Cero final béni merveilleux joli super magnum sexy glamour du beau Charlotte Cuuhlhourne. This technique sends Bambietta flying away and Giselle notices that this Arrancar is powerful. Seeing that her first puppet was no match for her, she calls up her second puppet: Tôshirô Hitsugaya. Seeing this, Mayuri realizes that this one is going to be a problem.

Mayuri uses a drug on the Captain of the 10th Division that makes him predict the future. In fact, Hitsugaya goes back in time several times, killing Kurotsuchi before losing his balance. After that, Mayuri unzombifies Toshiro before storing him in a regeneration machine. Giselle then sends in Kensei Muguruma, Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi and Rangiku Matsumoto, but the result is no more successful for Giselle.

The officers of Gotei 13 will escape her control and Quincy will be impaled by Kensei's zanpakutô. Despite this humiliating defeat, she barely survives thanks to her Vollstandig and absorbs Bambietta's blood to regenerate. Liltotto joins her, followed by Accutrone. Accutrone reveals that Yhwach is cruel and that he is going to slaughter the Auswahl on the Stern Ritters of the Seireitei. A light falls from the Royal Palace onto all the Stern Ritters below. Giselle loses her Vollstandig, despite having managed to survive.

Accompanied by Liltotto, Bazz-B and Najahkoop, she heads for the 12th Division's headquarters, where the last remaining shinigamis are gathered. While Najahkoop paralyzes Aizen and prepares an attack, Bazz-B kills his colleague Stern Ritter and the three survivors join forces with the Shinigamis to go to the Palais Royal. After the gate has been made, Bazz-B, Liltotto and Giselle use the Sun Gate to get to the main Palace. They split into two groups and Giselle and Liltotto decide to attack Yhwach. While Bazz-B loses to Haschwalth, Liltotto and Giselle are slaughtered by Yhwach and all three eventually die.
