One Piece is a manga/anime shonen action franchise featuring dozens of high-voltage battles involving demon fruits, haki, terrifying weapons and martial arts. Some of these battles are surprisingly bloodless or don't call for overwhelming violence, such as delicate fights between demon fruit users. Other One Piece battles call for extreme violence and rank among the best in the series.

6/Luffy versus Hody Jones
After the ellipsis, One Piece's first major narrative arc took the straw hats to the island of the Fishmen, an underwater community. There, Luffy met many new allies and enemies, including the vicious Hody Jones, who sought to continue what his old friend Arlong had started.
To save Fishman Island and its royal family, Luffy stepped forward and used his haki to stun Hody's men, then attacked Hody himself. A brutal hand-to-hand underwater battle ensued, and although Hody was stronger in his native element, Luffy triumphed with sheer strength and prevented the Ark from destroying Fishman Island.
5/ Luffy versus Rob Lucci
In the Water 7 arc, Nico Robin was captured and taken to Enies Lobby, so Luffy and his friends rushed to save her. The government organization CP9 was responsible, and Luffy gladly faced them in battle, even if it meant becoming an enemy of the world.
Luffy revealed Gears 2 and 3 in this sequence, including his easy victory over Blueno. Then, Luffy used those Gears to take on leopard-themed Rob Lucci in a savage fist-to-fist duel. Luffy won a narrow and painful victory, and Nico Robin was quickly rescued.
4/ Roronoa Zoro Vs. M. 1

While Sanji battled Mr. 2 and Luffy pursued Sir Crocodile in Alubarna, swordsman Roronoa Zoro met Mr. 1, or Daz Bonez. Mr. 1 was an elite agent of Baroque Works who could transform any body part into sharp weapons like blades or saws, so a fierce duel ensued.
Zoro suffered greatly when Mr. 1 hacked him, and Mr. 1 even cut Zoro's chest with circular arm saws when Zoro was helpless. This ultra-violent battle finally came to an end when Zoro learned to cut steel, stood up and ran through Mr. 1 in one bloody move.
3/ Luffy versus Don Quixote Doflamingo
The long and exciting Dressrosa saga included many great One Piece battles, such as Luffy versus Caesar Clown and various battles in the Colosseum. The best and most violent fight, however, pitted Monkey D. Luffy against Donquixote Doflamingo, Luffy and Trafalgar Law's worst enemy to date.
Doflamingo was extremely powerful with his string-themed demon fruit, and inflicted serious damage on Luffy in their merciless battle. To survive and win this incredible battle, Luffy finally unleashed Gear 4, and delivered truly devastating blows against his enemy until the battle was won.
2/ Luffy versus Charlotte Katakuri

While Charlotte Katakuri has his hidden sweet side as a big donut lover, he's scary and serious in battle, as Luffy has seen for himself. In the Whole Cake saga, Luffy faced Katakuri in the mirror world of Brulee, and Katakuri's Mochi-Mochi powers made him similar to Luffy, but stronger.
The two warriors stubbornly resisted, and even Katakuri's fellow Big Mom pirates were astonished by what they saw. Katakuri gave Luffy the beating of his life, but Luffy hung on despite his bruises and exhaustion, and doggedly fought his way to a short-lived victory.
1/ Luffy versus Kaido

Luffy's most powerful enemy, the mighty Kaido, is said to be the strongest living thing, but Luffy didn't dare back down. Luffy's battle against Kaido was the climax of the beloved Wano saga, and it's still ongoing in the animated series One Piece .
Luffy used every ounce of his strength to challenge the world's strongest creature, and even Gear 4 wasn't enough to win this crushing slugfest. So Luffy activated Gear 5 with his awakened Gum-Gum Fruit, and managed to do the impossible and take down Kaido with brute force.
