⛩ Ichigo Kurosaki is a Human with the exceptional ability to distinguish ghosts, his life turned upside down when he met Rukia Kuchiki who gave him his Shinigami powers in order to save his family from a Hollow.

The rank of Captain is given to one of the Senior Officers in charge of one of the 13 Divisions. Their second-in-command is appointed Vice-Captain. The sine qua non for attaining this rank is to awaken the Bankai, the second stage of Zanpakutō liberation.
Captains are therefore the highest-ranking soldiers in the 13 Divisions, and also the strongest among them. The strength of this army rests almost exclusively on these officers.
