⛩ The Beherit, also known as the "Egg of the King" or "Egg of the Conqueror," is an "egg-shaped stone" featuring a mouth, nose, and two eyes arranged in a chaotic manner. Occasionally, an eye will open to gaze at the one handling the stone. According to legend, whoever possesses the Beherit will rule the entire world at the cost of their life and blood.
There are two types of Beherit: the normal grey ones and the red vermilion ones, which only exist in five examples. The grey ones allow their bearers to become Apostles, while the red ones grant access to the God Hand (hence why there are only five). A Beherit is destined for a specific individual, and even if they lose it, the Beherit will eventually return to them at the right time. An inactive Beherit usually protects its bearer by increasing their luck, but its bearer will develop growing ambition, which often leads to their downfall.
In Berserk, Griffith is the bearer of the last Vermilion Beherit, the most powerful one. This Beherit protects him but also drives him to acts of extreme ambition, far greater than those of ordinary Apostles, leading him to his destiny to rule the world, as dictated by his dream.
