⛩ Gilgamesh is the famous king of the city of Uruk in ancient Mesopotamia, where he ruled years before Christ. A half-god/half-human figure, he was a kind of ultimate and transcendent being to the point of being at the doorstep of the divine.
He was the King of Heroes who possessed all the treasures of the world, whose adventures were the subject of several ancient stories, including one of the oldest poems of antiquity, the Epic of Gilgamesh.
His title, the King of Heroes, is not meant to imply that he is a king who is a hero, but implies that he rules over all heroes. He is the oldest hero of mankind, the origin of all myths and models on which heroes are based, so that his story is copied in the mythologies of all countries of the world.
The heroes of various myths are derived from his legend, so that his Gate of Babylon has all their Noble Phantasms.
