⛩ Itachi Uchiwa was a shinobi from Konoha's Uchiwa clan and former Anbu captain. He later became an international criminal after murdering his entire clan, sparing only his younger brother, Sasuke. He then joined the international criminal organization known as Akatsuki, whose activity brought him into frequent conflict with Konoha and its ninjas - including Sasuke, who sought to avenge their clan by killing Itachi.

After his death, Itachi's motivations turned out to be more complicated than they appeared. Indeed, his actions were always in the best interests of his brother and his village.

His younger brother Sasuke Uchiwa is one of the main characters in the series. He was initially introduced as a protagonist, a Konoha member of Team Kakashi. Over the course of the series, he became darker and darker, culminating in an alliance with the Akatsuki, becoming one of the most dynamic characters in the series.

Sasuke is a true genius, excelling in ninjutsu, taijutsu and even genjutsu; this, coupled with his thirst for vengeance, led him at the end of the anime to become the most powerful ninja in the shinobi world, alongside Naruto.
