⛩ Yamato is the biological daughter of Kaido, one of the 4 Emperors, although she has renounced all ties with her father. She is a great fan of Oden Kozuki and worships him so much that she wanted to "become Kozuki Oden". She thus claims to have become a man, and is therefore considered as such, which is accepted by both her father and the Hundred Beasts crew.
Yamato's decisions put her at odds with her father, leading to her imprisonment in Onigashima for much of her life. She befriended Portgas D. Ace during his visit to the Land of Wa. After learning of Ace's death, she awaited the arrival of his sworn brother, Monkey D. Luffy, so she could join his efforts to overthrow Kaido and then set sail with Luffy and his crew. She thus became a major ally of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance during the Wa Land Arc.
