⛩ Guts known as "The Black Swordsman" , is a former mercenary and branded vagabond who travels the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and maintaining his attachments to those he holds dear.
Regarding his equipment, Guts fights with a gigantic sword called the Dragonslayer. It was forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith who created the weapon for an ancient king wishing to defeat a dragon. However, the blade was so immense that no warrior in the kingdom could wield it.
Later, Flora gives him the Berserker armour, which belonged to the Skullknight. While this armour allows Guts to surpass human limits by no longer feeling fatigue, it is also extremely dangerous. It inflicts immense pain on its wearer and drives them insane.
