He later became an international criminal after murdering his entire clan, sparing only his younger brother, Sasuke. He then joined the international criminal organization known as Akatsuki, whose activities led him into frequent conflict with Konoha and its ninjas – including Sasuke, who sought to avenge their clan by killing Itachi.
After his death, Itachi's motivations turned out to be more complicated than they seemed. In fact, his actions had always been in the interest of his brother and his village. He is the perfect example of an exemplary Shinobi: he endured his entire life in silence for the sake of his village, even at the cost of being hated by its people.
