⛩ After his defeat against Kisho Arima, Ken loses his memory and lives under the identity of Haise Sasaki, a deputy inspector of the CCG, as well as the mentor of the Group Quinckes. He finally regains his memory during Operation Extermination of the Tsukiyama Clan, during his fight against Eto Yoshimura. After this operation, the ghouls name him the Black Angel of Death . He also cuts all ties with the Quinckes.
After his victory over Kisho Arima, in their second and final battle, Eto Yoshimura reveals to him their joint plan to form a Scarlet-Eyed Ghoul who can bring hope to the ghoul world. He then becomes the new King with the Scarlet Eye and forms the Black Goats, an organization residing until recently in the subterranean chambers of the 24th Round. In addition, he marries Toka Kirishima, who is carrying his child.
