After his exile, he uses the alias, Lelouch Lamperouge. He is the son of the 98th Emperor of Britannia, Charles Vi Britannia and, as such, the ninth prince of the Holy Empire of Britannia. He is secretly the leader of the Order of the Black Knights, under the pseudonym of Zero. Thus, the mask and the appellation allow him to hide his true identity from everyone.
It is officially confirmed that Lelouch is really dead and not immortal. He doesn't have the code.
