⛩ Set in the kingdom of Midland, the battle pits the Band of the Hawk, led by the ambitious Griffith, against royal forces. Griffith's goal is to conquer the kingdom and achieve his dream of sovereignty. However, his excessive ambitions drive him to resort to unspeakable sacrifices.
During the battle, as victory seems assured for the Band of the Hawk, Griffith activates a demonic ritual known as the Eclipse. This macabre event transforms his soldiers into monstrous creatures and sacrifices the members of the Band of the Hawk, delivering them to horrific torments. Casca, Griffith's lieutenant and Guts' lover, is one of the main victims. She is brutally raped by Griffith and the Apostles, demonic beings coveting her potential power.
Traumatized by the events of the Eclipse, Casca descends into madness, losing her mind and speech. She becomes a shadow of her former self, haunted by the horrors she endured.
