⛩ Zabuza Momochi, also known as the Demon of the Mist, was a rogue ninja and one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.
Zabuza was born and raised in the Hidden Mist Village during a time when it was known as the “Village of the Bloody Mist” due to the violence that reigned there.
The country was then plagued by internal conflicts, and the Mizukage at the time (Yagura) imposed very harsh conditions for achieving the title of ninja. The exam to become a Genin consisted of having two aspiring ninjas who had trained together fight to the death, selecting the one who survived this fratricidal battle.
The year Zabuza took the exam, he massacred all the aspiring ninjas in the competition, which earned him the nickname “Demon of Kiri no kuni”. As a result of this tragedy, the authorities of Kiri reformed the process.
As a former high-ranking ninja of Kiri, Zabuza was a very powerful fighter. Cruel in battle, his combat skills were apparent even at a young age. Before he had even started at the Academy, he killed over a hundred students on his own.
